chapter ten

"So, this is a human school interesting." I look at the outside it's kind of plain and boring. "Why would Isaac send my granddaughter here." I walk into the school shay and Alzir in toe, there are no guards no security. How can one be safe here? “Shay be sure to protect my granddaughter.” I tsk and we head to the principal’s office.

“Your,” He pauses and corrects himself, “Adela I really don’t think you should have come here.” I shrug,

“I promise not to leave your side so it’s fine.” I sigh it was the only rule my grandson made me promise, I just wanted to see this school, such a disappointment thus far. Alzir nods and we enter the office. After the papers and what not was done the principal offered us the tour of the school she went on and on about the history of the building then we pass Ivey’s first period class, I reach for the door knob but before I enter I feel the presents of evil.

“Alzir dear take Shay inside I have to use the restroom.” I move back out the way and walk the way I came where I saw the bathroom sign they go into the classroom, I turn back around and look through the little window of the room Ivey was in the far back and the boy next to her must be the famous Ashton, she was slumped on the desk the boy was clearly worried. Alzir picks her up and starts to head this way I move as Shay opens the door.

“What happened?” I ask going to them. Ashton following,

"So, you are Ashton." I smile at him, but it was a small one, "I know your aunt." That's not a complete lie I do know her, she was in my court for a few good years. He smiles,

"Really not many people know her she doesn't get out much. How do you know each other?" He ask as we follow Alzir to the medical center of this school it was not far Shay opens the door once more and we continue in after Alzir.

"We were old friends from way back." He nods then looks over to Ivey she is now laying down on a white sheeted bed.

“What happened?” Alzir asked coming our way he was looking pretty scary his scowl shunned with worry,

“I’m not sure we had just started the class we have sub he’s new today’s his first day, she went stiff next thing I know she passed out.” He shrugs the runs a hand through his hair he was obviously worried.

“She just passed out?” Shay ask she was sitting next to Ivey. Then a bell rings, my eyebrows scrunch together.

“That just means that first hour is over.”

-Iveys P.o.v-

I wake up to two faces one was Ashton who was the closest then a girl,

“Shay?” I say the name to the girl that was a younger version of the warrior I saw just a few seconds ago, she nods shocked on her face.

“You two know each other?” I bob my head as a yes,

“She family.” I smile at her, “Ashton you can go back to the classroom Shay will be here with me.” He nods his face said he was not happy about it but left.

“How much do you remember?” She asked once he was out, but it was in a hush since the nurse was sitting at her desk.

“I think I have recovered almost all of my pastfree lives.” I answer in a hush tone as well, her eyes widen,

“Does the prince know?” She asked I shake my head.

“Sort of but he doesn’t know the extent. What are you doing here?” I ask.

“His highness got information that the unseelie king has been seen heading this way we have been tracking him for over six months.”

“Wow. Who is it?” I ask getting up she hands me a cup of water and a cookie. I smile, “Thank you.” She smiles back.

“He goes by Shawn Caraway.” My blood goes cold and I start to chock on my water,

“What did you say.”

“Shawn Caraway.” She says slower. I take hold of her arm and squeeze it,

“We have to leave now!” I whisper. “He’s the new first hour sub.” My body freezes terror came back the realization of what made me have that nightmare in class it was him.

“Come with me.” We get up and as we start to leave she held my hand and elbow almost forgetting about the nurse until she turned to smile at us asking where we were going, “She said she has to use the restroom so I am going to help her there we will be back.” Shay says smiling at the nurse she was like a normal teen from earth I sigh.

“I wish I was that natural.” She laughs and shakes her head,

“No, miss you are to unique to match up with these people they are just low being destroying their plant without a second thought. No, miss you are better.” She smiles at me; I give her a shy one back.

“Over there that stairway has a broken camera.”

“Can we leave the build from there?”

“Sort of.” I smile at her she squints at me,

“I know that look this is not going to be good.” She mumbles the last part. We get to the stairway and it was clear of people I remember the spell for a portal and cast it a blue one appears at the foot of the stairs,

“This should go straight to my brothers office, so I’ll go in first.” It was a short one, so I bend just a bit to go through on the other side it seems my brother was in the room and was nice enough to make it bigger.

-Isaacs p.o.v-

“Are you sure that is all you found?” I sigh looking over the paper, Alzir nods. I was about to say something else when a blue portal appears next to my bookshelf. Ivey is the only one I know with that blue color, it was short, so I enlarge it seconds later Ivey pops out shay follows.

“What are you doing! Ivey! Shay!” I shout.

“Wait sir we have good reason.” Shay says bowing. I turn and close the portal and face them again Ivey walks along the room then opens the door she was looking around!

"Wow, things look different then last time again." she says in a approve tone, it was a bright yellow,

"Grandmother doing." I grumble it was resembling the castle a lot on the inside with all the new wall color and the windows have grown "Is there a reason you are skipping school which you begged to go to today and making portals in broad daylight." She nods smiling.

"Sir." Alzir comes up with more paper.

"Hey Alzir." Ivey says looking up at the tall man with a scar on the face next to his right eye down his cheek.

"Ms. Ivey." He slightly bows at her then looks at me, "I just got back what are you two doing here? Oh, and sir, these are the recent paper you need to see these." I look at them and skim it.

“I found the guy trying to kill us.” She shouts making us stop and look at her. “He is the new sub at my school, and I think he caused my favorite teacher’s mental break so can I kill him?”

"Ivey! This is not a joking matter I have to take care of this, Alzir take her to my office.” She looks at me,

“But we're already in your office, plus I was the one who found him, he wants to kill me the most so shouldn’t I be part of taking down the bs guy?” I sigh.

“No.” She crosses her arms and turn to go take a seat in a chair, "Shay go get grandmother tell her that Ivey is here."

"Yes, sir." She bows towards me and Ivey then takes off to the second floor. I shake my head nothing like a human or teenage I also hear Ivey sigh.

"Alzir round up the trackers and tell then to come to the meeting room." He nods and look at Ivey,

"Good day miss." She looks at me, I nod she smiles a little and follows him happy she can come tio the meeting to, I sigh again knowing I can't keep her in the dark about our plans. Shay came up next to me as I entered the elevator.

“When do you too get so close?” I ask her as we ride up,

“When she was eating with princess Aivila I stop by she was giving Ivey information about what it was being a fea and the type she was so I though I could help a little since I have been here for a long time and she also been dreaming of the past lives. She is a sweet young fea very smart and kind. She is going to make a fine queen to serve.” I glance at her she was wearing a small smile it was rare for her.

“What did we find in your brief time being at the school?” I ask once we get to the room getting started with the meeting everyone was already here standing,

“When I got there her majesty informed me that she felt five other fea powers in the school building I am certain that the sub is the unseelie king and from what Ms. Ivey said it was his first day there meaning he just found her if we keep her safe in our walls he cannot get her.” I sigh then think better of it this is what is best for her,

“Shay has already aborted the mission to protect Ivey she is no longer going to school.” She nods and writes it down, “For now that is all I am going to check on my family, dismissed.” I get up and head to the kitchen where Ivey found the most peace, Shay followed and in silence we get there quickly. Ivey was drinking tea with grandmother, mother and the water nymph in charge of dessert’s. Ivey was practicing some simple magic tricks. “so, you know what I will go along with you no longer having to go to school and starting to practice magic every day.”

“Okay.”

“Okay? That is, there’s no fighting me?” She shrugs

“Not really, I never liked it anyways, I have no real friends and it’s safer for everyone. I just talked with grandma she is going to send Ashton back to Ivearona and work on what she has to, so he doesn’t get hurt and I know he’ll be safe. I also know that it is best thing.”
