"Where are you going?" I ask her walking on the other side of her. "WE," she emphasize, "are going to go talk to my friend that lives here." She says, "Why am I going?" I ask. "Also, should I change?" I look down still in my dress with my hair up with the crown in my hair. "No, Hun you very nice, it's good to talk to those like you so you don't feel left out, plus it would open some eyes." I don't say anything back I just follow her to the parking lot with Isaac following. "I don't think this is the right time." He says as we walk, "Nonsense it's the perfect time. She knows who she is plus I need to talk to her anyways, we were going to dinner anyways." He says nothing, I can tell he is really tired, so he is just going with it. We get into the car when I ask, "So, who is this person?" "My old friend Faith. She's a wonderful women, bad choice in men." "What do you mean by that?" She sighs, I glance at her since she is sitting next to me, Isaac sat in the passenger sit. "She fell in love with a human man when we came to visit this world many years before but then he passed, of course and never came back to Ivearona." "How come?" "She was to heartbroken and ashamed to come back." "Why would she be ashamed? If you love someone you should never be ashamed." Adela sighed, "She was to wed Anthony and live with us in the castle even help run things till you were of age." I nod and look out the window the ride was silent until Adela said. "We're here." I look at the house and see a car that looks like Ashton's I get out and look at Isaac who refused to make eye contact. "Whose house are we at again?" I ask Adela. "Like I said my dear, my friend Faiths house we have so much to talk about so much to tell you it'll be great!" I walk over to Isaac and lean in close to ask him in a low tone, "Have you meet this Faith lady?" He nods, "And that car is Ashton's?" I asked but it was more of a statement. This time he doesn't respond but I know it's Ashton's car. "Why are we at his house?" I ask as we step on to the porch, but he still doesn't answer me. I sigh and wait to see what happens. Adela goes to the door and rings the doorbell; we wait for a few seconds till a tall woman in jeans and blouse opens the door like all the fea people I have met she was stunning. "Adela my queen what a delightful surprise please come in." She bows a little as she steps a side, "My prince, my princ...." She stops mid greet as she looks at me pure shock and horror shot across her eyes, "Ivey!?" I nod "Yes, nice to meet you?" My eyebrows scrunch in confusion at her reaction. "Faith, sweetheart can you please make some tea it has been a long day." Adela says from inside the house. Faith response with a yes and goes into the kitchen I walk in after her but go to the living room. I sit next to Isaac and take my phone out. "Ivey, honey don't play on your phone it's rude." I nod and put it away. Shortly after that Faith comes back in with empty cups when she set them down, she flicks her wrist a little and tea was steaming in in the cup. Fea magic is indeed amazing. She takes a seat in one of the two arm chairs and asks, "So, Adela, to what do I own this lovely surprise today?" Adela sets her cup down and smiles, "I thought you would like to know that our young princess here is starting to learn her powers and was wondering if you were ready for your little one to learn along with her it would be lovely to have them learn together it would less boring and very beneficial for the both of them. Also, we had dinner plans." "So that's why you're here I should have known but I'm sorry he does not know. Also, I never agreed to the dinner." Adela shakes her head, "Times running low on this subject Faith you know that." She pauses, "Isn't he here? Have him come down to meet me I love to know all my people." Faiths skin turns a sickly pale color but stands, "Yes, my queen." She leaves the room. "Ivey taste the tea it is one of Ivearona finest." I nod and take a sip my eyes widen a little and look at her with a smile, "It is so delicious!" I say taking another sip. Adela smiles back. "Ivey take it easy with the tea drink too much at once will cause a stomachache." Isaac says. I nod than notice Alzir was still standing. "Why are you always standing? Doesn't it hurt your feet?" I ask curious. He looks over at me, "Not really I am used to standing for an extended periods of time." "Yeah, but still isn't it tiring don't you think your feet deserve a rest once in a while." Adela starts to laugh a little I guess my statement was funny to her, but I am serious. Alzir though says nothing to my commit and I think he is thinking about it I can't tell. Finally, he says, "I believe that my feet rest when my work is done with at the end of the day plus I sit down while working some days in the building." It wasn't what I was asking so I ask him, "Why don't you just sit down?" The living room is spacious and has lots of room even with the two couches that are big, two armchairs and coffee table, the couches and armchairs still available he can sit down. "I rather stand." "Why though, it would be good to rest your feet and back since Isaac and Adela likes to boss you around all the time having you go everywhere and do everything for them." A small smile appears on his lips. "To be fair to them Ms., Ivey they are queen and step in king I have to listen to them." "Well it's not right." I grumble taking a sip of tea. "My job is to make their life a little easier so it's fine with me." He chuckles a little. "She does have a point though." Adela says agreeing with me, "Alzir come sit with me enjoy some tea." It wasn't so much of a command than an invitation from Adela, but he listened to her regardless. Adela seems to please with the conversation since she is smiling a bit. "Adela this is my nephew Ashton." Faith introduces Ashton as she walks into the living room Ashton at her side. Immediately our eyes meet, and he is a bit shocked seeing me here along with my brother and a stone face man drinking tea out of a pink flower cup. I have to admit it's a strange sight, I almost wanted to laugh but the look on Ashton's face made me hold off from even grinning. "Ashton this is my good friend Adela, her bodyguard Alzir, her grandson Isaac, and granddaughter Ivey.” "Faith dear you don't have to introduce Ivey or Isaac remember." Adela says. "Oh, right sorry." Faith laughs a little. She take her seat at one of the chair as do Ashton who hasn't said anything. "I wouldn't call Alzir just a bodyguard he is much more than that." I say with a smile, "He's a teacher, organizer, councilor, officer, and friend. Though he is a bit awkward." I laugh as he looks over at me with a look that a father would give his daughter but smiles at the compliments. "So, Ashton I heard that you are interested in going out with my granddaughter." Adela says after a moment. He nods, "Yes ma'am." I can tell he is nervous but so would anyone. For a couple of minutes Faith and Adela go back and forth talking about their old days, Adela though keeps slipping things about Ivearona in the mix. Faith didn't like it so much but didn't draw attention to it. "So, shall we go, I believe that Isaac had made reservation somewhere." Adela said standing up. We all stand as well, "Adela I'd love to, but I do not have anything to wear so maybe next time." Faith says with a smile. I'm not sure if it was just me but Faith was really trying not to go. "Nonsense I can..." She start to lift her hand, but Isaac took ahold of it first and smiles at Faith. "Faith I insist, please join us." He says. She give him a weak smile and nods then heads upstairs with Adela. A few minutes later they come down and we all go to the cars. "I'll ride with them." I said not wanting to be in the car with Adela and Isaac as they argue. He nods and we head to Ashton's car I can only imagine that car ride. Our car ride was quiet however Ashton keep looking back as we followed Alzir. When we get to the restaurant we were seated, and it was quiet. "Ashton, I hear you know Ivey." Adela spoke. He nods, "We are dating." Her eyes widen slightly acting like she didn't know when she mentioned it at the house. I open my mouth to counter, but the waiter came to take our order. “To be far it’s only been a day.” He says sheepishly. Adela looks at me I shake my head she smiles and nods understanding it was not what he says. She however entertains him, “Ah young love.” She smiles my heart aches a little before I says, “Ashton, did I miss anything at school yesterday?” He shakes his head, “Not much just that new teacher, there is something cold about him. I’m glad you didn’t have to meet him, he’s too friendly with the female students.” He smiles at me I was sitting between Alzir and Isaac while the other three was across from us Ashton directly in front of me. “What is he like?” Isaac asked taking the chance to learn something. He takes a sip from his water then for the next few minutes Alzir and Isaac asked Ashton many questions some Faith was not happy about. The chatter stopped once the food arrived, we dug in half through our silent meal I note Faiths hand turning yellow. My eyes widen I tap on Isaacs leg with mine and motioned at Faith who caught our eyes I look at her hand as does she and stands and heads for the bathroom Adela gets up to follow and when I begin to do the same she shakes her head, “Finishing eating I’ll check on her.” Her eyes said it all, so I plant myself in the chair. We sit in an awkward silence no one ate, and no one talked. Adela comes back moments later blinks a few times at Ashton then once at the table tapped him on his shoulder, he started to look tired. “She isn’t doing too well, so I think it’s best we go Isaac lets go pay, Ashton wait for your aunt by the bathrooms Alzir please take Ivey to the car.” Ashton got up lifeless and moves without a word, “Is he okay?” I ask her, “Yes, just a little magic to help him get through the next couple of hours we should really get you to the car.” She hustles us out of the dinning area and to the doors as Isaac did as he was told. Once in the car I ask, “She was being effected by my magic, wasn’t she?” Adela nods, “So, was he.” My eyes widen, “I could see his tail.” My curiosity was peaked but I don’t say anything and wait for Isaac as Alzir and Adela spoke. Isaac walked out moments later with Faith and Ashton we wave then Isaac gets in and Alzir who was in the driver’s seat takes off.
