Chapter 7

Yeza’s POV

When we got back to our room, Lia is still furious at Yuna.

“What did you do? Did you know that Justine just blocked me?!” Lianne shouted. We just got home from the University.

After the closing of the booths, The seniors invited us to a party since it’s also the last day of the foundation day.

Foundation day here is always celebrated before the school year ends so that before everyone says goodbye, there are still memories created and will be cherished.

When we are at the party, Yuna talks to Justine, Lia’s crush. We don’t really know what they’ve talked about, but we saw how disgusted Justine is after Yuna talked to him. He didn’t even spare a glance at Lia after that.

Lia walks out of the party furious and as a good friend of her, I followed. She drags Yuna with her. I can’t leave them alone knowing Lia becomes indifferent when she’s mad.

“Nothing. I just talk to him. Asking how was his day and such. Don’t blame me for what he did. I didn’t bad-mouthed you when I was talking to him.” Yuna explained.

“Really? Huh!” Lia scoffed. “Then tell me why did he avoid me when I approached him?” Lia ask madly.

They are inside their room. Their voice are too loud that I can still hear them from the outside. They are in the middle of their bickering when Chloe and Reign enters the dorm.

“What happened?” Chloe asks. I told her the whole story.

“The baby is just jealous.” Reign murmurs but we did not hear it clearly. She walks straight in our room.

“Isn’t there something we can do to make them stop?” Chloe asks.

“I don’t know. Maybe we should just let them be?” I replied unsure.

Chloe sat on the couch with me following after her. “I have this conversation with my friend before, she said that life is uncertain. Meeting people that comes in our lives can never be predicted. And most of the time, love is full of surprises.” I look at her confusedly.

I don’t know why all of a sudden she’s saying these things to me.

“Oh, I’m sorry about that, I may sound weird to you. I am just analysing life. You know.” She said shyly while rubbing her neck.

“It’s fine don’t worry. I am just surprised by the sudden words of wisdom, sorry.” I honestly said.

“Sorry.” She said. Silence rules the atmosphere. We can’t hear Lia and Yuna’s bickering any more.

“Maybe they are done.” I said.

“I find it funny, how people fall in love with the person who they don’t see their self with.” She said while hugging the throw pillow in the sofa.

“Yeah, Love moves in mysterious ways.” I chuckled and she laughs.

“Have you fallen in love, Yeza?” Chloe asks suddenly.

I was surprised by the question. Should I tell her?

“Ahm, well, I don’t really know if you can call it love.” I said. “But, I feel secure, safe and at home in the arms of someone I knew from before. So I only think of it as a time of my life where I felt the love and was slowly falling from it?” I continued. The truth is, I really don’t know if I can call it love. But, I am still searching for it.

“So, you did feel it somehow. What happened?” She asks.

“It’s a long story, and it was decades ago.” I said.

“I have a lot of time to listen.” She said.

“Maybe some other time. When I am ready to talk about it.” I said. I am not ready to talk about it yet. Besides, I just met her again after all those years. But I think she doesn’t remember me at all. And it’s painful.

“It’s fine. Just talk to me when you are ready. Anyway, I talked to Ms. President. We have a special session this week, she said she may make it surprise so let’s all be ready.” Chloe said then bid her goodbye and walks to her own room. I envy her, she’s alone, but she has a privacy. Thinking about me and that kissing girl makes me want to just sleep in the couch tonight.

That special class is unknown to anyone in the university unless you a part of it. I mean, that class is a privilege so becoming a part of it has its perks, one being having access to certain information that is kept from everyone else. Everybody in the university knows that a special class existed but no one knows what they are doing in that class. Also rumours said that the officers belong to that class. So only the student’s council can disclose information as to what it feels like to be a part of a special class.

I got up and walks to my room lazily.

I opened the door, the lights are off, maybe Reign is already sleeping. I look at the clock. It’s says 1:14 am. No wonder why.

I went to the bathroom to freshen up then went back to the room after I finish. I slowly walk to the bed and lie down as quietly as I could. I don’t want to wake Reign up, so I do it carefully. I am relieved that Reign is already asleep. I am safe tonight. I turned my back on reign and faced the opposite side, so I wouldn’t have to see her.

I closed my eyes and was about to fall asleep when I felt Reign move. She placed herself on top of me then whisper…

“I’ve been waiting for you.” She whispers those words with a husky voice then she slowly and gently bit my ear. I don’t understand this feeling she’s giving me. I know I don’t like it. Me being weak whenever she’s close to me. But at the same time, I let her do those things to me.

“H-hey! That’s harassment.” I said nervously then slowly pushed her. She looks at me, like she’s memorizing every part of my face.

She placed her face on the crook of my neck. “It’s not harassment if I didn’t touch your body. I didn’t do anything to you. I just said that I am waiting for you.” Then she hugs me tightly.

I really don’t understand her. She’s acting so clingy and touchy when we are alone. She always does that when it’s just the two of us.

Oh, right! I remembered something.

“You already have a girlfriend so why are you acting like this? Don’t you know you’re cheating?” I said. Still having her on top of me, cuddling me.

She lifts her head up and looks at me with confusion written on her face. Like she doesn’t know what I was talking about.

“I saw you earlier, hugging a girl” and that girl is Mina unnie. I want to say the last words, but I choose not to.

She smiled then go back to her position earlier. “She’s not my girlfriend. She’s my sister” She said sleepily. I smiled widely. So.. That means, Mina unnie is still available? YES!!

I smiled softly as I drift off to sleep completely forgetting reign was still on top of me.
