Mason finally fell asleep and I smiled at my bundle of joy that lay peacefully in my arms as I rocked him back and forth to sleep. I leaned down and kissed his head then placed mine against his and sighed in contempt. I smiled and placed him down in his bed pulling the blanket over his tiny body, I switched on his night-light and monitor then smiled walking out closing the door.
I walked down to my office opening it to see Adam sitting and looking at the fire.
"Adam? Why are you here? Is everything okay?", I asked closing the door behind me.
He didn't say anything and just looked down at the floor.
