‘Are you sure it isn’t replacing her though?’ Studying Janet’s face, I could see real concern for not only me but also Graciela.
I nodded, ‘I’m positive’ I replied, ‘she looks like Everleigh, I can’t lie, but she’s nothing like her. The more I get to know her again, the more I see how different they are. They are both feisty but Everleigh was very outspoken, you pissed her off, she’d tell you. Graciela has that same fire but it takes a lot to get her to blow her top. She’ll try every way she can not to upset anyone, swallowing down her words until she’s certain that you deserve her wrath. She’s not a push over, but she won’t yell at anyone without being sure that they deserve it. Everleigh? Well she’d cut you a new asshole just for looking at her wrong.’
