I was hoping to talk to Grim about my father that night, but he didn’t come home until early morning, when I was already asleep. By the time morning came, he slept through most of the time I spent getting ready and only stirred when it was time to leave for the theater. It was strange. Really strange. Since we were bound, Grim never looked tired. But today he seemed a little out of it, like his mind was elsewhere— and he clearly hadn’t gotten enough sleep.
