In the mountain, a connection between unbound humans and unbound wolves bled through the ground. It was the way the curse worked somehow.
So we felt it all.
Lily's innocence.
Her vulnerability.
Her memories of being taken, of being forced to break the binding, of watching her mother die and her brutal revenge that came after.
We felt her pain.
We felt her relief that it was all over.
And we felt how much like before, like how she presented herself all those months ago, she had no motives against us. She wanted nothing from us.
Instead, she wanted to help us, to save us… to sacrifice herself for our freedom.
