I know something happened between dad and Reid. I’m not stupid, I know my dad. Silly me, thinking he had gone soft, no he had appeased me to my face, always wanting to show his support… but then done the dad warning or something.
Reid said everything was fine. Dad said everything was fine. Granny tried to brush it off.
“Right old man. What did you say?” I cornered dad when we got back to Fi’s.
Dad said he was going to put his bags away, and I said I would help.
He laughed and put his bag on bed. “Don’t believe we just had a chat?”
“No! You taught me to watch people and look for tells. I know you’re tells old man and poor granny looked a bit… disheveled. What. Did. You. Say?”
