The next morning Nathan andbi woke up to breakfast being brought to our room. It was all of our favorites. Both of us had a note from our parents. I read mine. ‘Dream, we hope that you are finding a chance to relax and have some fun while doing things you never knew were possible or think that you would ever do. We miss all of you and can’t wait for you all to return, but until then have some fun. Everything is on us, so go shopping. We love you. See you soon. Love, your parents , Agatha and Zillow’. “Aww they included Zillow and Agatha in signing mine. WHAT did your parents say” I asked Nathan.

“Pretty much to have some fun and relax and that we all deserve ut” he said smiling. I could tell it made his day that Cameron and Chrissy took time to write a special note for him. “I wonder of Zade and the other two received some kind of note” I asked. “I wouldn’t mention it in case they didn’t “ Nathan warned. He was right I didn’t want Zade to feel worse by thinking about his mother and everything if I mentioned it. Jade interrupted my thoughts as she began to bark at the door. Suddenly Zade and Gus burst through the door.

“Dream you have to come right now” Zade yelled almost in a panic. “What is wrong and where is Brian” I asked noticing immediately he was missing. “that’s the thing. COME ON WE HAVE TO GO NOW! “ Gus yelled. “OK guys you two are sharing me, where is Brian” I asked demanding to know what was going on. “Guys you two are really scaring her, what is wrong” Nathan asked blocking the door with a viscous Jade. “Brian has a mate, now will you come on” Zade blurted out. “What do you

mean Brian has a mate.,” I asked confused since we were just told that was near impossible to happen.

“Brian does have a mate. Please lets just go. You can see for yourself” Gus said as he and Zade literally dragged me out of the room.

Gus and Zade ran towards the lobby. Nathan and I were right behind them. Suddenly they both stopped dead in their tracks causing Nathan and I to plow into them “How about a little warning before you just suddenly stop” I said scolding the both of them. “SSHHH! See” zade whispered pointing to the other side of the lobby. Sure enough Brian was over there with a pretty blonde. His arms were wrapped around her. I was shocked. “Well that goes to show you two it’s not impossible for you to have a mate” I told them. “You still don’t see it do you?” Gus said pointing to the girl. “See what? Alright you two. This is crazy. I’m not going to sit here and stare at those two like some weirdo or pervert and neither are the two of you. Now I am going over there and introduce myself to them and congratulate Brian like you two should be doing. He is your best friend and you need to show him some support in this” I said lecturing them as I walked over towards the couple.

I looked back when I heard Zade tell Nathan “Just wait for it. She will find out”. I rolled my eyes at him aggravated by the way he was acting . As I got closer I called out to Brian. “Well there you are Brian” I said letting myself be seen by him. When

He was standing straight up looking like he was ready

to attack. “Dude what is wrong with you? What is going on and why do you look like you are ready to pounce on me?” I asked him. “That is close enough Dream. I’m sorry but please don’t come any closer.” He said looking straight at me. I decided to read his thoughts to try to figure out what was going on exactly if he was trying to stop me, something had to be wrong. “We cannot attack her you dummy” “She will understand” “I have to protect my mate” was the final thought along with the others that I read before I stopped and stared at him. He was definitely standing in a defensive position. As I thought that, zade and Brian shifted along with Nathan and now their wolves were standing between Brian and I.

Brian was about to shift to get ready to fight. I had to stop this madness now “STOP THIS MADNESS NOW! ALL OF YOU. YOU THREE SHIFT BACK NOW AND BRIAN I SUGGEST YOU STAND DOWN NOW. DO YOU ALL UNDERSTAND MY ORDERS” I asked very irritated at all of them. They were RUINING my Relaxation time. Nathan, Gus and Zade shifted immediately back “Dream he was going to attack you” Zade said. “Stop. on with you. I can see that you met your mate, what I don’t get is why you will not introduce her to me and are hiding her” I asked him. He looked at me dumb founded and not answering. FINALLY I stepped around him to introduce myself to the girl

As I stepped around and came face to face with the girl I realized what the issue was immediately. This girl was a vampire. Brian was mated to a vampire It took me a second to register the realization. I had never seen a wolf mated to a vampire before . As far back as I had heard vampires and wolves were supposed to be natural enemies or so they say. I had never personally had any issues with vampires on the very few I had met.

“HI, my name is Dream. I must apologize for these guys behavior. They all know better and are acting like children” I said as I introduced myself. “HI. My name is Aerie, it is an honor to meet you” She answered. I looked at the girl. She was indeed very beautiful. Her long blonde curly hair fell to the middle of her back and she had ice blue eyes. She was not the idea of what a vampire should look like in my eyes.

Aerie And I talk for a few minutes. Brian just looked at the two of us like we were crazy." Are we going to go get breakfast or are we going to just stand around talking?" I asked. Everyone laughed easing the tension much better. "Aerie are you going to join us? " I asked her "may I" she asked me questionably "you are my best friends mate after all so of course." Brian didn’t really know what to say as he just kept looking between the both of us. Finally he just smiled wrapped his arm around Aerie and followed us to go get some breakfast.
