Return of the Alpha's Daughter

Chapter 18.

Once I was showered and dressed, I went to the conference room. Nathan was waiting outside the door when I got there. "You look beautiful" he said as he kissed me. I know I was fifty shades of red when we entered the room. Everyone stood when I entered and slightly bowed, except for Rose and Thomas. I did not care for that at all. There were also people there that I did not know. This made me even more nervous. Sensing my nervousness, Luna Penelope came to my other side and took my arm into hers. Coolness washed over me and it felt wonderful.

"If we can all have a seat, we will begin the introductions of who you are first", The Alpha announced. It was hard for me to refer to them as my mom and dad. It felt strange for me not to though. I let that thought ponder while everyone found their seats. As the introductions began, it started with those that I had met, which helped. After Rose and Thomas had their turn, there sat two next to them. As I looked at the woman sitting there, images of my old Luna flashed before me. I got a very strong knowing that this lady was somehow related to Luna Lacy. "My name is Queen Isabella of Spain. I am Penelope's mother" I didn't mean to, but I gasped loudly. All eyes turned to me for an explanation. Here I was, I had already blamed my own mother for my torture thinking she was Luna Lacy, I was not about to say someone else was related to that witch, especially apparently my grandmother. "My apologies. My reaction was because I could not get over the fact that you were Luna's mother. You look more like her sister than mother" I said thinking of something quickly. No one spoke a word as her husband introduced himself. "I am your grandfather, King Harry" He announced, offering a smile. "OK, what is the real reason behind that gasp. Don't lie to me either. I am your mother whether you choose to accept that or not" A voice echoed in my mind. I looked at the Luna knowing it was her. "It is rude for me to be linking you while people are introducing themselves. I have to pay attention", I answered back smiling at her. Then she punched my leg making me yelp out loud. Luna Penelope died laughing all of a sudden as I turned and looked at her sharply. "Penelope, that is enough now. Stop being rude", Rose said as she scolded her. When everyone turned their attention back to the next person, I stuck my tongue out at my mother. I was quickly caught by the same one. "I will separate the two of you if you two cannot behave." Rose said as she stared at us. I looked back at my mother and she smiled and winked at me. At the same time both of us looked at Rose and stuck our tongue out at her. This caused the entire room to erupt in laughter.

"OK you two, you have had your fun, now is a time to be serious." Elder Micah said, reprimanding the both of us. "Yes sir" My mother and I answered together as we stopped the silliness. Thomas and King Harry both looked at us grinning. "OK everyone moving on to the next" Alpha Lucas said smiling at the Luna and me. "I am King Andrew, the king of this region...." The man was cut off by the Alpha interrupting, saying"Yeah, yeah moving on". This caused another round of laughter by everyone except the female next to King Andrew. Her face was drawn up like she just ate a lemon or something. King Andrew spoke back up "I am your Uncle and unfortunately, that one's brother" He said, pointing to the Alpha. I looked at the two of them. It was hard to tell that they were of any relation, let alone brothers. They looked nothing alike. Where this man was short and skinny with almost orange colored hair, pale skin, and plain brown colored eyes, the Alpha was huge, tall, tan, built with black hair and, of course, my color eyes. Honestly, the King looked sickly and frail and I would doubt he could defend himself, much less an entire region. After he finished, the woman next to him stood up. "My name is Queen Rebecca. It is wonderful news that our lost Princess has finally returned". I nearly choked on the drink I was sipping. "What are you talking about now? I am not your daughter" I spat out quickly. I wasn't sure that I even wanted to be associated with those two, let alone related. Star was in the back of my mind growling lowly at the woman. "She is evil. There is something not right with her" Star warned. I felt it too, but again I was not about to accuse anyone of any wrong after what happened when I met the Luna. I was thinking about all of this and listening to my wolf ramble about how much she did not like that woman that I had forgotten that I asked a question, and she had been talking ever since. Luna Penelope quietly tapped my hand drawing my attention back to the woman. She was walking towards me. This made Star growl even louder the closer she got. Queen Rebecca held a black box in her hand as she approached. I could feel my mother tense up along with Rose staring daggers at the woman. Clearly, this woman is not liked at all. "This is a gift for you Princess Dream. It will help to keep you safe from harm. Rebecca opened the box and held it open for me to see. It was a necklace with what appeared to be a glass heart with a red liquid inside of it and below hung a wolf's head charm. It was beautiful. I reached down to lift it up, however when I touched the necklace it burned my hand. As I jerked my hand back, the box fell open on the floor. In an instant, the room turned chaotic as Rose went after the woman along with the Luna. "How dare you give my granddaughter that" Rose yelled at her. Warriors were shifting prepared to protect someone, who though, I wasn't quite sure, "EVERYONE, STOP!" I yelled out, still holding my burned hand. Star was quickly healing it, but it still burned a bit. Everyone in the room stopped immediately and submitted except my grandparents. Both sets this time. They stood there looking at me like they were very proud of me for something. "Now what exactly is going on" I asked confused. Rose spoke up "The Queen is using blood magic. She is a dark witch. The proof is there in that box" "Mother, that is nonsense! Remember she is your Queen", King Andrew said. Thomas spoke up "Andrew, don't you forget who put that crown upon your head there, son, and just as easily as I put it there I will definitely knock it off if you speak to your mother like that again". He scolded the King. This was turning into a mess as Elder Micah walked and picked up the box examining its contents. "GUARDS ARREST HER IMMEDIATELY AND PLACE HER IN A MAGIC PROOF CELL IMMEDIATELY " he yelled. The room suddenly swarmed with warriors carrying chains and shackles. King Andrew was yelling at the warriors to stop. But the orders had been given by someone with a higher rank. They had to obey. The woman was quickly placed in chains and carried out of the room. Everyone was now staring at me as if they were waiting for me to answer. "Great did I lose control again" I asked looking in between Nathan, my parents and grandparents. But now I saw what everyone was staring out. ZADE, Gus and Brian had shifted and now had created a wall in front of me growling and snapping at anyone daring to step an inch closer to me.
