Chapter 21

After I woke up, and was cleared by Dr. Henry, he informed me that I had exhausted myself using my powers. "You must be careful using your powers especially until you are a bit more use to it" he explained. He assured everyone else that was in the lounge room next to my room waiting that I was in fact ok. "Let her rest for a few, and feed the child" He told them before leaving. So after he left next came food. It was ready when I stepped out of the bathroom. I was starved. While eating, there was a knock on the bedroom door. The Luna and the Alpha came inside. "How are you feeling dear" My mother asked. I was still trying to get used to referring her and the Alpha as my parents. "I'm better now that I have eaten" I answered honestly. "Well good. Guys can we talk to Dream, I mean Jenna for a few please" My father asked as they both looked at me. I knew then something was wrong. "Ok what's wrong now?" I asked as soon as the door closed. "Well, let's start with a simple question first. What would you like for everyone to call you? Do you want to continue with Jenna or do you wish to go by your legal name of Dream?" The Alpha asked. I thought for a moment. The name Jenna was my old life. I wanted to forget it even existed, so I answered "Dream. It may take me some getting used to, but I think that suits me better", when I answered, the Luna smiled brightly.

"Well, Dream, you see, the next thing we need to discuss is kind of an urgent thing that needs to be done quickly. You see we have to announce you as our lost daughter. We have to let the supernatural realm know that you are back where you belong so your birthrights will stand. We also have to announce you, so we can bring proper charges against the one that did this to you. The one that stole you from us", The Alpha explained. I looked at them questionably. "You know her, don't you?" I asked, trusting what my gut was saying. This time, the Luna spoke up to answer. "Yes Dream, we do. Very well, unfortunately. Although her name is not Lacy, it is Lilly. She is my twin sister" As she said those words, disgust and hate showed on her face. "That is why Queen Isabella reacted the way she did when she saw my memories" I asked. "Yes. She blames herself. You see, Lilly was married to King Andrew. Their marriage was pre-arranged by our parents. When they met, they realized that they were not mates like our parents had thought they would be considering our bloodline. They agreed to be married though. Not long after, though, Rebecca showed up and they announced that they were mates. Lilly went mad. She loved Andrew more than anything. Well, her madness made her try to kill his mate. Instead of killing Lilly, Andrew banished her. She had to live like a rogue. She came to us asking for us to take her in but, given the circumstances, we could not do it. This only made her angrier. When she left, she bowed to get revenge for us turning her away. When Lilly found out I was pregnant with you, she came back to the pack house to congratulate us. She looked like she was doing some better but when she saw our mother she snapped again. She threatened our mother with your life. She didn't lie when she said everyone could see the fear in her when Lilly said that. Lilly laughed it off, saying she was only joking. Then, the day you were born, we realized immediately how special you were because of your Mark. This made us fear someone would find out and take you. Well, that night our worst nightmare became a reality. We searched high and low for you. We searched for Lilly and any hunters that had been around. Anyone who had any reason to take you. We turned up nothing. My mother swore from the moment you disappeared that it was Lilly who had taken you, but honestly I did not want to believe her. She was my sister. She had no reason I didn't think to hate me. But according to her, she blamed me for her life. She said that I stole the life she was supposed to have had the day we all were married. You see, when I walked down the aisle as my sister's maid of honor, I saw your father, and instantly we knew we were mates. So we were married that same day as well. So now she claims that I took everything from her. She was going to punish us by taking our everything. You. " I looked up at her and tears had begun to fall from her. It was because she blamed herself for what happened to me because she did not want to believe that it had been her sister. "It's not your fault. She would have thought of some other absurd reason for doing what she did" I tried to tell her. She felt as guilty though as Queen Isabella did. "So what will happen to her now" I asked, wondering. "Well, that's the other thing we needed to tell you. You see we had to bring her back in order to make her face her charges" As soon as I heard that I started to panic. My chest suddenly felt like it was caving in on me and I couldn't breathe. "Relax Dream. She is at the palace. Not here. We wouldn't do that to you", The Alpha explained. Hearing that she was not here eased my panic immediately. "Good" I said, relieved. "Once she is charged she will receive a traitor's death. It is the cruelest type of punishment there is. It is saved for the worst of the crimes and this most certainly classifies as that " he explained. "Are you still doing OK with hearing all of that?" My mother asked, worried that they were overwhelming me again. "I'm ok" I told her. "Well now comes the last reason we need to announce you as our daughter. You see, Andrew has never had a child. He cannot pass the throne down, so ultimately it would have come to you anyway. However, given the fact that you outrank him and me for that matter, the throne is yours. It is you that is supposed to be sitting on that throne. Not Andrew. The issue with what Rebecca did would cost him the throne either way. So you will be the kingdom Queen." Ok now I was overwhelmed.

"I don't know anything about running a pack, let alone a kingdom" I answered, worried that I would let everyone down. "Dream, that is why you have the people you do to help you. That is why Elder Micah is here and both of our parents. It is not like they show up for every holiday. The only time we see them is when something really big is about to happen, like now " The Luna explained."So when is all of this supposed to happen," I asked, already knowing what the answer was, unfortunately. "Today will be the announcement, but do not panic. The next three days will be a celebration for your return home. Then, after that, next weekend will be your coronation. There will be a ceremony where you will be announced as the rightful heir to the throne. The palace is right next to our territory, so we will be able to be with you every step of the way. After your coronation, you will then be given the pack and they will become your royal pack and Royal Army. This is the way it was always meant to be Dream. That was why we have worked so hard over the years growing our pack to the size it is now, it was because we knew that they would be the ones protecting you when it came time for you to take the throne. Our pack is your Royal army and staff. Our territories will be combined making us the largest and strongest kingdom there is." My father explained. "Does Nathan know all of this" I asked. "Yes. it has never been a secret that we would eventually be part of the palace and that our army would become your Royal army. Had we not found you, the Kingdom would have been handed over to us either way in hopes we would have had another child. So Nathan knew that when you were found that you would be Queen. He didn't know, however he would be your mate and the King," the Luna explained.

"We will help you Dream, and we will take things day by day and get through this together. I won't lie and say this will be easy, but we all have lived through a hell of a lot worse. At least now we have each other", My father said as he hugged me.
