Chapter 22.

After my parents left from telling me the news of them having Luna Lacy, I mean Lilly. Whatever her name is and mine for that matter, I just wanted a few minutes alone. I needed to process everything. Something I hadn't had the chance to do yet because something kept happening. I went from an absolute nobody to Queen in the blink of an eye. An orphan to having both parents and both sets of grandparents. I went from having nothing to having anything I wanted. "Star you are mighty quiet, how are doing with all of this?" I asked my wolf. "I'm ok. Your stress is what has me worried. I don't want to add anything else to you." She explained. I needed to relax and I knew the perfect spot. I linked Nathan and the others. "Grab your swim trunks, I need to relax for a few minutes" I told them. "Where are we going?" Nathan asked. "I KNOW WHERE! YES!! WAY AHEAD OF YOU" Zade shouted back by link. I giggled. He knew exactly where we were going. I quickly found a bathing suit in my closet. I put it on and pulled on a sundress and flip flops. Since it was daytime, we would have to drive there instead of running in our wolf form. I linked the Luna. "I would like to go to the beach to relax for a bit before the ceremony and having to get dressed. Is there something the guys and I could drive to get there? I know we can't go in wolf form", I asked sending the link. I could hear her squealing in my room. "What is it now, I wondered opening the door to her being right there with the Alpha. "I have waited for the perfect time and it is now. Quick come with us", She said cheerfully. I laughed at how silly she was being, but I followed along. We went downstairs, then down into the basement where there was a pool, but she totally passed by that. "Why hadn't someone told me we have a pool" I asked looking back at it as she kept going. She headed out of a door. I followed and saw that the door led into a garage. The Luna squealed again as she grabbed a set of keys and tossed them to me. "Happy Birthday Dream " She said excitedly. My father just kept smiling at the two of us then he asked "Penelope dear, are you going to tell her what it goes to or is she going to have to try every door in here?" He asked. I looked around and then realized just how many vehicles were in that garage. I counted at least ten. "Press the alarm Dream" My mother said, giggling. When I did, the garage echoed with the alarm, but I quickly found what it belonged to. There was a brand new Jeep with a big red bow on the hood. Now it was my turn to squeal happily. "Well don't stay out too long. You still have to get showered and dressed. Then the stylist will be here to fix your hair" she warned. "Why do I need a stylist," I asked cautiously. "Oh did we not tell you that the announcement was formal. You have to wear a gown", She said, even happier. I know the color drained from my face at that moment. "Don't worry about that Dream. Hop in and go have some fun", my father said. So I hopped in and cranked the jeep.

I drove around to the front where I knew the guys wer waiting for me. As I pulled around at first, they did not notice that it was me until I stopped right in front and asked "Are you guys in need of a lift somewhere?" The surprise on their faces said it all. ZADE, Brian and Gus about killed each other by climbing over one another to get inside. Nathan just hopped right into the passenger front seat. "Nice" he said as he buckled up. "Where did this come from" Gus asked. "Apparently it was a birthday gift they were waiting to give me" I answered. "So this is yours" Brian asked looking shocked. "Yep, it looks that way " I told him.smiling. "Are you going to let me drive it any? Zade asked. Everyone shouted no at the same time. There was no way he was driving my jeep after how he drove his car.

We made it to the beach in no time. There were a few others out there but not crazy busy. We grabbed our bags and went to find a spot. I wanted to be far enough away from others where my scars couldn't be seen. We laid out the beach blanket and thankfully, Zade had thought of grabbing a cooler full of drinks and snacks for us. "Well, this was unexpected" Nathan said after we got everything set up. "But I love it", He added, stretching out on the blanket beside me. The other three were already in the water. "Yep" I said, agreeing enjoying the sun beaming down on me, my eyes closed and totally relaxed.

"Don't even think about it, Gus" I said not even opening my eyes. I knew what they were up too. "If one drop of water hits me I will drown all three of you" I added. "That's not fair, how did you know it was me" Gus asked whining. "She always knows" Brian added plopping down beside Nathan. Then I heard Zade laugh as I felt something crawling on me. I opened my eyes to see this thing crawling on me. I jumped up screaming and yelling, searching for that hideous looking creature that was just on me. The guys were laughing as I saw Zade pick the thing up and put it in a little cage. "ZADE ANTHONY JOHNSON WHAT THE HELL IS THAT THING?" I yelled while he continued to laugh. "It's my new pet. Don't you like him" he asked, pretending to pout. Nathan picked the creature up. "It's a hermit crab Dream. They are harmless" he said as the creature pinched him with its claws. He yelled as he shook his hand, making the thing lose it's grip and fall to the ground. "Harmless, huh? What if instead of your finger it had pinched my n****e" I asked staring at Nathan. "It would have been used for shark bait. The only thing pinching those is me" Nathan said playfully as he pulled me into him, kissing me. Zade scooped his pet back up, putting it in the cage. "Where did you get that thing at Zade" I asked. "At that tourist shop up there. They have a bunch of different animals. You wouldn't believe it" he answered. Something in me said I had better go take a look. I knew back west a lot of those places were selling endangered species they had illegally captured until the ring got busted. Most of the animals were dead by then because they were not being fed or taken care of. It was rather sad. "So can I keep him" Zade asked pleading. "Not in that little cage, you will not. That is horrible." I informed him. "We can stop and pick you up a big aquarium for him on the way back." Nathan answered. "Let's go take a look at this shop OK" I said, looking at the others. They all nodded as we walked up the hill of sand to the shop.
