Chapter 35

After all of the animals were being taken care of and the dragon was in surgery, Elder Micah approached

us. “Alpha Lucas, Princess Dream we still have those in custody to deal with.” I looked at him exhausted

from the day and on top of that drained for using my powers the majority of the time. “Micah, can we hold off on anymore trials until tomorrow. I believe I speak for everyone when I say that none of us are I. The condition to deal with the headache of another trial” Alpha Lucas asked as I agreed as well. “Very well, I will make the announcement and have the prisoners taken back into the dungeons” Elder Micah agreed

It was late and everyone was exhausted by the time we finished with everything that needed to be done. The creatures were all fed and placed in an area to sleep for the night. I was more than ready for a hot shower and bed. I was already guaranteed another long day tomorrow with everything that needed to be done. When I got to my room I laid across the bed just for a second, or so I thought anyway.

I woke up to the sound of the alarm clock ringing Nathan was sprawled out next to me in the same clothes he had on the night before as well. At least I was not the only one who passed out then. “Nathan. Time to train” I told him. “Training is canceled for today” he mumbled back. “The trials” he added. I buried my head into the pillow “Ugghh” . I made myself get up and get into the shower.

“Which one is being done first” I asked Nathan as he walked into the bathroom. “I am pretty sure that it will be Queen Rebecca, well now I guess it’s not queen” he answered shaking his head. “Well that should be pretty quick. Hopefully.” I said. “Are you ready for your old Luna’s trial” Nathan asked helping me to dry off. “You really know how to ruin a mood don’t you” I asked him now frustrated. I grabbed the towel from him and finished drying off myself quickly and getting dressed.

As soon as I slipped my shoes on, Zade, Gus and Brian came in the room. The look on Zade’s face said it all. He was thinking about the trial himself. “Are you ok” I asked him by link. “Yeah I guess. It’s just going to be a long day” he replied back to me. I felt horrible that I was the reason his mother was facing a death sentence. “It’s ok I know its not your fault Dream. She did it. She must face the consequences of her actions” Zade said as he plopped down beside me. I could tell he was struggling with this and the truth of the matter was so was I. I received a link from my parents wanting to meet with me first thing. “OK guys, I have to go down to

meet with the Alpha and the Luna before everything starts. “ I told them as I gave Nathan a kiss. “Are you ever going to call them ‘mom and dad’or are you going to keep with ‘Alpha and Luna’” Brian asked.

I shrugged my shoulders. “I know they are my parents but I don’t know it just feels kind of weird” I answered. I really did not know what to call any of the family members I had met Honestly. I had actually tried my best not to have to call them by any title.

I went down to the Aloha office and knocked on the door softly. “Come in Dream” my mother’s voice called out.i opened the door and there they sat at the Alpha’s desk. She had a chair pulled up next to My father sitting there waiting for me. “Good morning “ I said as I sat down in the chair facing them. I felt like the kid in the principle’s office waiting to see what I did wrong. “You are not in trouble Dream. We just wanted to check on you before we started the trials today. You have had so much on you since you arrived here, we wanted to just make sure that you are OK and to see if you need anything at all” my mother said. I relaxed immediately. “I’m OK. I’m just ready to get today over with so that not only myself, but everyone involved can move on away from this. Those two have disrupted and destroyed enough lives “ I answered. Both of them knowing exactly what I meant. “Well then let’s get it over with then. Micah is ready whenever we are” my father said as he and my mother stood up. I took a deep breath and followed behind them.
