Chapter 19: Suddenly Kissed!

Luna just stared at Lucas. She wondered what Lucas meant. Who was Lucas referring to? And, why did he ask that? Luna wanted to talk, but she didn't seem to know what to ask first. Lucas noticed Luna's anxiety. So he started telling stories.

"I had a dream. It seemed very real," Lucas began to tell her what he had experienced.

"What kind of dream?"

"Dreams which are part of my memory of the past," he explained. Lucas spoke directly. He also has no intention of hiding anything from Luna, since she will be his companion. Luna didn't answer. She immediately thought that maybe his dream was about a woman. It was because of the question he asked her.

“I’m not really a human being." Luna's eyes blinked. And she looked surprised but she was still waiting for what Lucas would say.

"Nevermind!" Lucas suddenly said. He could see the confusion on Luna's face.

"Ha?"

"Let's not talk about my dream anymore. Let's just talk about what has happened to us across the world," Lucas explained seriously. Luna just nodded her head. She had no choice but to listen to Lucas. He remembered Lucifer as well as Julio. Luna's eyes widened.

"Just wait for me here. I'll just call someone," Luna commanded him. She hurried out of the room. Julio and his new friend Asta have disappeared from her mind. She immediately picked up the directory and searched for the hospital where Julio took it in. She quickly called the hospital number and searched for the patient. Asta was waiting in the lobby. Asta did not leave. She also felt sorry for Julio because no one would care for him. She also didn't know who to call because she didn't really know Julio.

"Hello! I'm sorry, Asta. I’m really sorry for the inconvenience. You can go now and leave Julio. I'll just call their house. I'll just let them know what happened to him. Thank you for your help and for watching over him. I'll get back to you when we meet again," Luna apologized and sent her gratitude. Asta's lips smiled.

"That's nothing! I'll just wait for his relatives. Aren't you coming here?"

"I'm sorry! I'm not yet done with what I'm taking care of. I'll also visit him when I have enough time," Luna explained.

"Are you sure it's okay for you to keep an eye on him?" Luna added.

“Yes!”

“Thank you so much, Asta! Thank you!" Luna didn't know how to thank Asta.

"No problem! It's okay!" They also hung up the telephone. Asta can't stay on the telephone either because there are many other callers. She returned to Julio's room. He was still unconscious even a few hours later. Meanwhile, Luna was able to return to her room. Lucas was missing. She noticed the window was open again. She took a deep breath. She just thought Lucas took his leave as he always did. He flew in the sky. When Luna approached the window to close it, she heard Lucas' voice.

"Why did you take so long?" Luca was in a corner. He seemed to be hiding. When Luna left him, the bedroom window suddenly opened on its own. He saw something like a black cloth flying. Lucas remembered the judge of life. Lucas thought, since he was already free from across the world, maybe the judge of life had been looking for him.

"Close the window!" He added. Luna immediately obeyed his order. When Luna finally closed the window, she ran to Lucas. She helped him stand up and accompanied him to sit down on the bed again. Even though his wounds had healed, his body was still weak.

"What is happening to you?" Luna asked him with concern.

"I thought the judge of life was coming from me again," he said.

"Judge of life?"

"The one who gives punishment to mortals and immortals. I haven't seen him in a long time since he threw me into that world."

"What do you mean?" Luna sat on the floor. She was ready to listen.

"I remember my past. I'm not really a mortal. I am a guardian angel spirit. But--" Lucas didn't continue what he was going to say. He looked at Luna. She was waiting for his story.

"But, I broke our rules. I fell in love with a human which is forbidden to us. I didn’t know the greed I had created. It wasn’t just my life that I shattered, but also the woman I loved."

"Where is she? What happened to her?" Luna asked with sadness in her eyes. She felt pity for him. But she couldn't help herself to be amazed at Lucas being a guardian angel's spirit into a fallen angel. Lucas bowed his head and shook it. When the judge of life took her, he no longer knew what had happened to the mortal woman.

"Don't you have any plans to look for her, now that you're back in our world?" Lucas raised his head again. He stared into Luna's eyes.

"I don't know how many years have passed. Or just how many days? The time trend is different in the two worlds. The time across the world is faster than here. You can prove that by your experience," Lucas explained. He was right. When Luna was travelling across the world, a few days passed. Meanwhile, in the world of humans, just over an hour has elapsed. They are both in silence. They both think. Until Luna opened another topic because she could see the sadness in Lucas' appearance.

"When we're across the world, is the judge of life Lucifer? Why does he want to get you? Do you have an idea? Because, if he really wants you, he'll follow you here," said Luna.

"He is not the judge of life. He is just like me. He is also an angel and was punished."

"But why is he forcing you to comrade him?"

“If I put together all the scenes that happened to us, he was planning something bad. He will pursue his desire to be king over the whole universe. He wanted me to be his comrade in conquering the world. But he didn't do that because evil hadn't yet taken hold of my heart. And--" He suddenly looked at Luna. He felt that she played a big role in his life.

"What?"

"Nothing! How's your friend?" Lucas also remembered Julio. Luna sighed.

"He was in the hospital together with my new friend. Julio is not like you. He couldn’t stand the pain he suffered at Lucifer’s hand. "

"I'm sorry!" Lucas apologized but Luna ignored it. She suddenly noticed something in the situation.

"Wait! "How did Julio get across the world?" Luna asked herself and him.

"That's also one of the things that bothers my mind. And--" Lucas couldn't continue what he was going to say when Luna suddenly stood up.

"Couldn’t Lucifer have brought him across the world? But why Julio? Why did he drag an innocent man into danger?"

"Because of you!" Lucas directly answered her.

"Why me?"

"Because you helped me. I think that man is close to you. And he has a great desire for you. So he’s the one Lucifer will use to get me."

"Wait, I don't understand! Why did Julio suddenly get involved with us? Even me!" Luna pointed to herself. She is worried now. Luke could not say what he saw in her character. Then, Luna moved his feet backward. Lucas stood up and he pulled Luna's body closer to him. Their eyes stared.

"I need an explanation, Lucas. If you are here, if Lucifer follows you, he will not let us go either," she added.

"Will you be like her?" Lucas suddenly asked her. Luna was even more confused.

"Will you leave me and drive me away? Like what she did to me," Lucas is worried. Maybe Luna would leave him because of Lucifer. The woman he loved before pushed him away because of the judge of life. Lucas tightened his grip on Luna's body even more.

"L--Lucas..."

"Answer me!" Lucas said seriously. Suddenly, all Luna's thoughts disappeared. The content in her mind went blank. There were incoming words in her brain. That she could not pronounce. She didn’t know if she was afraid of Lucas? Or, she just didn’t really know how to answer him. She wanted to stay away from him, but her body seemed to become a statue in Lucas' grip.

"Please don't leave me or push me away from you. Don't let Lucifer get me. Haven't I been important to you since we met?"

"L--Lucas, I---" Luna couldn't continue what she was going to say when Lucas suddenly kissed her.
