Chapter 14: Hellish Place

THEIR situation became even hotter when Luna joined and intervened with them. She would not allow herself to do anything. After all, she was the one who asked Lucas to save Julio first. And even if Luna knew that Lucas had a weird and strange appearance too, she believed that Lucas' feelings, thoughts, and actions were different than Lucifer's. If Lucas was an evil creature, he would have killed her a long time ago.

Lucas was the same, he would not allow Luna to be harmed. He will fight Lucifer as much as he can. Even if he loses his life. The first thing he thought of doing was to get Julio’s body lying on the floor. To get away from Lucifer. But before he could do that, Lucifer immediately read what he was planning. Julio’s unconscious body flew behind Lucifer.

“This person is mine! Sooner or later, you’ll be mine too!” Lucifer told him. All Lucas did was fly to Luna. He needed to talk to Luna again about their situation. For him, Luna couldn’t stay in that place anymore.

“Leave us! You don’t belong here in what’s going on,” Lucas explained.

“I just can’t leave! You know–”

“Please, Luna. Lucifer may attack you too. You might be affected by whatever might happen,” Lucas pleaded. And Luna didn’t like that.

“All right, tell me where I’m going, Lucas? Don’t you understand what Lucifer said to the world we’re in today? Don’t you get it? If we don’t know where we really are right now, then you will order me to leave. I’d rather just die with you and Julio. Rather than go somewhere, or just be tortured by Lucifer,” Luna spoke directly. Lucifer liked that. He liked the intelligence Luna showed. He couldn’t help but clap. Then they laugh.

“Oh dear, you’re right!” Lucifer responded to their conversation. Lucas looked at him immediately. He also let go of his wings on his shoulders. For him to cover Luna behind him. Lucifer just laughed and laughed. He was pleased with Lucas' gesture. Lucifer directly or promptly knew what Lucas was going or wanted to do. Because for him, Lucas was just a beginner.

“Hhmm.. won’t you listen to the woman you want to love, Lucas? She’s right! You don’t understand the situation now. You don’t know anything yet. Let me tell and explain everything to you. You might change your mind right away. How can a—”

“Stop it! I won’t listen to you. You know why? Even if you say I’m like you, we still have a difference. I was just punished, meaning I still had hope to choose what I wanted to happen in my life. Unlike you, you’ve really been thrown into hell,” Lucas immediately stopped Lucifer from speaking. And because of that, the joy Lucifer felt suddenly disappeared.

“So maybe you’re in a hurry now to poison my mind. You’re afraid you might not get me. Am I right, Lucifer? Now you tell me, don’t I understand the situation now?” Lucas insulted Lucifer.

From the start, many things are troubling Lucas’ mind. With the existence of Luna and Lucifer, he comes up with answers to another mystery happening to him. The enjoyment and excitement Lucifer felt was really gone. He screamed. At the same time, strong winds attacked them. Lucas hid Luna in his wings right away. When the wind subsided, Lucas instantly flew into the sky so that he and Luna could escape the area. But they both fell again because of the forceful electricity that hit their bodies. Lucifer made a shield so they could not get away.

Even though Lucas was hurt, he was still able to hug Luna’s body as they fell. Luna was unconscious because of the effect of the electric shock on her body. They had a hard time falling on the ground. They landed with a loud sound. Lucas' body was smoking. His wings were also damaged. He knew at that moment that it would be difficult for him to fight Lucifer. But he would still ensure Luna’s safety. He touched Luna’s cheek. It’s hot. Lucas slowly got up and carried Luna in his arms. He has not been able to fly yet because his wings are broken. He walked over to a corner. There he laid Luna. He stared at her face, before facing Lucifer again.

“I will do everything to save you from this hellish place,” Lucas whispered to himself.

Then, he decided to go back to Lucifer. For him to fight. Even though he knew he would have a hard time, he could not just give up. He also wanted to show his strength. He was not a coward. He just tried to run away just for Luna’s sake. But now he could do nothing but to fight Lucifer.

“Are you ready to taste my power? We wouldn’t have ended up like this if you had followed and listened to me,” Lucifer told him. He raised his right hand. A blazing fire came out. Lucas didn’t answer him. Suddenly, he ran closer to Lucifer. As he approached him, Lucifer’s fire struck him, which he luckily avoided. Lucas suddenly raised his right hand. A sword came out.

‘Oh, you’re just hiding a weapon,” Lucifer criticized him. Lucas didn’t speak, he just wanted to hit Lucifer’s body. But he couldn’t do that. Lucifer stopped him by meeting him along his way. Lucifer’s left hand grew, it was the one holding Lucas' weapon. Then, he pressed his right hand to Lucas’ stomach. He inserted a small fireball. When Lucas felt it spread throughout his body, he lost his sword. Lucifer smiled. He also calmly let go of Lucas. He knew the fire would torment Lucas.

That’s exactly what happened. Lucas’ body rolled on the floor. He hugged his body because of the extreme heat he felt. He was beating his body because of the unbearable pain. As if some kind of insect was biting his muscles. Meanwhile, Lucifer enjoyed what he was watching. That was not Lucifer's real strength. He was just testing Lucas’ ability to fight. He had just confirmed his suspicion. Lucas was still weak, he didn’t know how strong he was. Lucifer wanted to release that. So he thought of Luna.

“Is that all you can do? How can you save that woman?” Although Lucas was struggling and hurting, he clearly heard what Lucifer said. He forced himself to look at Lucifer. He was walking closer to Luna’s place. Lucas shook his head.

“Hhmm..” Lucifer said, as he caressed her cheeks.

“N–no…” Lucas said softly. He couldn’t shout. Lucifer suddenly turned his head to him. He spoke to Lucas with his mind.

“Let’s make a deal. That man is yours now. This woman will be mine. I will make her the mother of my first child.”
