Chapter 10: Blame

Julio struck the wooden chair on the wall. Everything he saw with his eyes, he took it and threw it away inside his room. He was like a madman. He was angry with the black shadow because the untypical creature didn't keep his promise to get Luna. He didn’t like its gesture. He was searching for his place. He wanted to see the black shadow. Then, he began to shout.

“Dark Shadow, where are you? Show yourself!” He turned his head to every corner of his room. He sees nothing. Also, no other audible sound he heard. He grabbed his hands. And he roared angrily like a fierce lion. He stopped until a dark shadow crawled on the floor and climbed on the wall. It was shaped like a man. He came quickly to Julio and became a black smoke.

“What do you want from me?” A voice came out from the black smoke. He still asked him even though he already knew what the purpose was.

“I can’t wait any longer to get Luna! I agree with you about using my body. So please take action on your plan and hurry up!” Julio shouted while the black smoke whirled in his body. The black smoke temporarily got away from him and blew a strong wind. Due to the excessive force, Julio was thrown onto the wall. Julio was shocked and he was hurt. But he still hurried to get up. He knew how dangerous his opposite creature was.

“Who are you to lead me to my own decision?” An angry and loud voice Julio heard while he felt dizzy.

“Don’t you know who you are facing?” Black smoke constantly asked him and from that moment Julio saw his eyes. Embarrassed and angry. Just like Lucas, their eyes seemed to be on fire because they were so red.

Julio was afraid of what he saw; he did not notice that his feet were moving gradually backward until his back leaned on the wall. His dealmate was not just a dark shadow or black smoke. Julio was sure that behind the black smoke in front of him there was a strange man hidden.

“You’re just my slave, so follow me! I can burn your body on fire and turn you into ashes!” the voice continued to say to him. Julio didn’t take any action. For him to avoid the brutality he sees that can happen to him. Black smoke swirled around his body. Julio couldn’t speak. His mouth opened voluntarily. He shook his head when the black smoke immediately entered his mouth. Again, Julio’s aura began to change. Much more darkness. He couldn’t control the power of the black smoke.

Meanwhile, while the black smoke was completely engulfing Julio’s body, Lucas and Luna were still left in the area. Lucas hurried to help Luna but she pushed him away from her. Her muscles were shaking and she was still crying. Lucas didn’t understand why Luna did that to him.

“Don’t go near me, don’t touch me!” she said to Lucas.

“But, Lu…”

“Because of you, my life's in danger!” She continued to talk. She suddenly blamed Lucas. She knew that it was wrong to accuse someone, but that was how she felt. But Lucas will not allow anything to make Luna’s mind and feelings complicated.

“No! You are wrong, listen to me Luna!” Lucas got his chance to talk. He quickly approached her to explain.

“No! You listen to me! Since I met you, I have not lived my life like the way it used to be,” Luna continued to cry. Lucas momentarily became silent about what he heard from Luna. He was offended by what she said. But he forcibly insisted on his feelings to be calm.

“Don’t speak like that, you may never know what you’re saying. Luna, please listen to me first, do not let your emotions sweep you! Please…” Lucas pleaded with her. Lucas also looks pitiful. He didn’t expect Luna to react like that to the incident. They just happily went to the place. Their hearts beat was almost the same with each other. They are falling in love with each other. But Julio showed up. He confused Luna’s mind. And Luna was carried away by her own feelings. At the same time, she was really scared.

“I don’t want to listen to whatever you tell me. And please, do not follow me!” Luna shouted. She turned her back. But when she steps on her feet, Lucas holds her hands.

“Luna, please listen to me. Let me explain too what I feel. Give me a chance to talk to you,” he pleaded again.

“Stay away from me!” Luna answered while she pulled her hands at Lucas. She ran away.

She continued what she was doing and she didn't care about her path. She did not realize that she was not in a good place like where she was before with Lucas. She kept on running until she fell on the ground. She remains face down on the ground. She cried and cried. No one was with her. So, she didn’t care what she looked like at that time.

Her knee was sore but she forced herself to stand up. She could not move her right foot, which was painful and injured. She slowly walked and came to a tree which was near to her. She leaned her back for a moment. Her eyes roamed the environment and she was frightened. Luna saw lifeless trees and grass. The environment gradually became dim with a crow on the tree where she was leaning. The crow made a sound and she heard it.

She felt that her body was weak because of fear. She was especially alone. She remembered what she had said to Lucas not to follow her. Luna had the courage to walk again but, the cold air touched her skin. She embraced her two arms. As she walked limping, she looked around side by side. Left and right. She continued to walk while her eyes widened until she heard a rustle behind her that made her stop.

She doesn't know how to feel? She does not know if she will live? She was thinking something bad. She already imagines dangerous images or exotic creatures that might attack and harm her. The fear she felt grew more. Until she heard the howl of a wolf dog that made her run automatically. She kept running even with her eyes closed.She did not know where to go until she had slipped into a ravine.

“Help…..” she cried aloud, but no one was with her. No one could hear her voice.

Her body rolled down to the ground. Her skin was cut because of the crashing rocks scattered in the area where she was falling. She reached the lower ground and her head was bumped on a stand by a large rock. Luna immediately lost consciousness. But before she closed her eyes, she whispered Lucas' name.
