Luna felt the beautiful sunshine while walking towards the university. She was glad to see Lucas. Now Luna has a savior– a man who will defend her no matter what happens in the future. She felt like a princess, just like the ones she saw and watched in fairy tales. Even though she knew Lucas was a strange creature, she already trusted him.
Luna quickened her pace. Regarding her feelings for the fallen angel, she's more confused than ever. Previously, Luna hated Lucas, but now she can't express her own feelings. She wasn't disappointed in her expectations, she saw Lucas outside the school premises while he was waiting for her. Lucas also saw Luna and excitedly moved towards her. If Luna looked at him, the way he dressed, when he spoke, the way he acted, he looked like a normal person like them. What Luna didn’t know is she’s an extraordinary person too. The question is, if she doesn’t really know? Or, was she hiding her true identity? But if Lucas connected the dots about what happened to them, Luna was innocent. She knows nothing about her own persona.
"How are you? Did you sleep well last night?" Lucas asked her calmly. He is the fallen angel who is kind. Maybe because of his gradual discoveries in his personality. He has things he doesn’t understand. Especially the appearance of Luna. Ever since he encountered Luna, people had been able to see and hear him. For him, it was just not in his personality that something strange was happening. As well as around them. The truth is, Lucas couldn’t remember his past. What kind of life does he have? What does he do? Why does he not have relatives?
"Yeah, because I know you're always watching me and I know you'll not allow anything bad to happen to me," Luna mirrored his words and then smiled. Lucas was happy to hear that.
"The smile on your lips makes me calm and warm, you're beautiful," Lucas nonchalantly told her, earning himself a flush on Luna's cheeks from pleasant surprise.
But it's true that Luna was a very beautiful woman. A tall woman with a slim physique, her skin is white and smooth. Her long shiny black hair almost reached her waist, her round eyes had long eyelashes complementing her pointed nose, and she had red lips. She does not wear any make-up, but the natural beauty in her face really stands out.
"Don't make a joke like that, Lucas. I might believe you," Luna replied shyly.
"I'm not joking, I'm just telling the truth." Luna could read in Lucas' eyes that he wasn’t lying. Lucas' eyes are serious but with a mixture of joy. Luna took a deep breath. She wouldn’t prolong her conversation with Lucas. Maybe her feelings that she was holding back would carry her away. She might really fall in love with Lucas.
"I think we should enter university now and go to our respective classes even if you're not really a human," Luna pointed out to Lucas to change their topic. She stepped away from him, but Lucas grabbed her hand. Lucas always does this. He felt that Luna would disappear in front of him. He felt that Luna had just gotten lost in his world. As if Lucas had a long dream. That’s why Lucas is always making a way to be with Luna.
"No! We need to go back to that place last night, for you to see the real beauty of it," Lucas demanded, and blocked Luna's way.
"But what about my class, I need..." Luna didn't finish her sentence when Lucas spoke again.
"Please don't ignore me, we have no time. I just want to spend my time with you every day in my life," Lucas pleaded. Lucas was so sure about his instinct that Luna doesn’t really belong in the world he lives in. At least once in his life he would feel that he was a human with a feeling.
"We have no time? I don't understand. What do you mean, Lucas?" Luna wondered. She was confused. What Lucas told her was added to the puzzle she was composing.
"Don't think. Just trust me, Luna. Please?" Lucas pleaded again. Luna was unsure how to answer. She's really confused about her own thoughts and feelings. Until a voice butted in their conversation.
"Is he the man that captured your heart, Luna?" It was her school fellow. The man messed with her one day. He and Lucas also met that day. Now that their eyes crossed again, Lucas saw something different.
"Julio, please. I'm not in the mood to answer your question and you know what I feel for you,” Luna started to explain. But Julio walked closer to them and Lucas blocked his way. Julio pushed Lucas with one bare hand and Lucas was thrown on the road, scaring Luna to her wits. Lucas was surprised by the strength shown by Julio. Now, he was sure that there was something strange about Julio. He just can’t point it out. What is it?
“That weak man, the one you’re going with? Are you sure he can protect you in this world?” Julio asked her. Luna couldn’t understand what this meant for her. When Lucas stood up, a fast wind greeted him. This caused him to fall on the road again.
“Another strange human. Who is he?” Lucas whispered to himself. He looked at Luna.
“Who are they? Why are they here? What is their connection to my personality?” Lucas added to himself. But first, he erased it from his mind. The important thing is that he can get close to Luna. Who is now trembling in fear? Her eyes were already crying.
“That’s what you got to avoid me. For not accepting my love for you.” Julio smiled. Like the smile of a scary demon. Luna’s legs twitched in fear. She could no longer speak either. Lucas tried to confront Julio when he stood up again, but it seemed that something invisible was blocking his way.
"You'll regret this, Luna!" Julio shouted at her. And soon, he left Luna standing alone. Luna’s knee was shaking. Until they weakened and she sat on the road. When Lucas stepped on his right foot, it was already moving. He hurried over to Luna. He helped her to stand up. Then he hugged her tightly.
"Don't be afraid. I'm here to protect you, no matter what. I promise!" But Luna could only cry. Lucas was also worried. He can't remove the fear in his heart. He felt wary in Julio's presence. In particular, Lucas knew that there was a dark aura running through him.
“What does he need from Luna?” Again, Lucas asked himself. Lucas remembered Luna when she was under water.
“Love?” Lucas' last word. And he doesn’t believe it. There is something more than love. If Luna also had power like them, that might be why Julio was after her. And that was what Lucas needed to discover. Who really is Luna? He will never let go of Luna. Because Lucas thought, Luna was the key to his mysterious life. Luna was the answer to all of his questions.
