*Miranda’s POV* It was hard to stay focussed on running when relief washed over us along with the feeling of overwhelming fatigue. We’d run for our lives and relied on adrenaline to pull us through. Now that we were safe and the adrenaline wasn’t needed anymore, the lack of food and sleep caught up with us... fast. Lillian fell to her knees and wept, unrestrained and unashamed. She sobbed loudly as she poured out all the bottled up emotions that could poison her heart.
