Claude expected himself to be jittery the whole time before Dean was supposed to arrive at Tempest Grounds. Surprisingly, that wasn't what happened.
He'd woken up a bit later than normal, nearly eleven. His parents had allowed him to sleep in because he got here at nearly ten o'clock last night. Not only that, he'd been itching for animal blood when he arrived, so Claude had gone for a quick hunt into their woods and was in and out in less than thirty minutes.
After lunch, he'd immediately opened his laptop and got to work on his thesis paper. His parents were also more understanding about his packed schedule, and his father had made a promise to be less strict with making Claude attend future Head Vampire duties since his school finals were just around the corner.
