News about Dean and Claude spread after Claude's visit to Red Village.
They both expected it, in a way. While Dean was confident that none of his friends had been the ones to spill, he couldn't say the same for the Pack members who'd seen them walking together. And after Claude's insistence of coming with Dean during the night of the vampire attack, it wasn't too surprising that some tabloids have begun speculating about their relationship.
But because neither of them (not even Claude's family) had confirmed it, the rumors only remained rumors for now.
Dean hasn't read any of the articles himself, although Claude's parents have. And they told Claude (who then told Dean) that a lot of people commenting about the rumors think it's completely impossible for the relationship to be true.
