Chapter Seventy Five    Too Late to say goodbye.   Over the next few weeks, I was able to return to normal working hours. I was even able to look after the kids on my own. Did I still have nightmares? I will not lie, I did, but the frequency of them lessened, along with the intensity they brought.  I was able now to put them into a separate compartment in my mind, to know that was then, I am now on a completely different timeline in my life, and so my coping mechanism strengthened.  The children had resumed their normal schedule with school and going to Tim and Sally’s house every other weekend.  They also stayed with my parents one night per week, generally on a Wednesday.
