Act 3 Chapter 22 Sitting back in my chair at the dinner table, I listened to the different conversations going on around me, content to be surrounded by my closest and dearest friends—old and new. It was January seventh and Lei and I had thrown our first dinner party as an official couple in this new year. And though my non-profit organization was going down the toilet, and I had yet to let Lei or my family know of this development, I couldn’t have been happier tonight. What mattered to me was right here around this table. My friends. My new family. Vincent was having a great time with Lou, and as a matter of fact, I was beginning to pick up on some serious chemistry between those two. Granted, Vincent was twelve years older than Lou, but Lou wasn’t your typical twenty-something girl.
