It had been a wonderful evening after all. No drama. No tears. Around eleven, Lei had eventually invited his upstairs neighbors, a lovely straight couple I hoped to see more of, so that Louie could take out his acoustic guitar and play us a few of his songs, a blend of folk and blues, with simple, but poetic lyrics he wrote.
