“Mate,” Lou mumbled. “Want to see mate.”
“I know, buddy,” I muttered. “We need to talk to her uncle, remember? Once we get more information, we can see her.”
Lou said nothing as I listened to Sage leave. I stared ahead at the corridor, not looking back at her. I knew if I did, I would want to be with her.
Bryn was near, but he placed his finger to his lips when he saw me. “Wait till she leaves,” he whispered, only for me to hear. I gave him a nod. I needed to tell Jayden what was going on.
I opened a mind link to Jayden. “Can you go to Thomas’s room?” I asked. “Sage, Sara, and Thomas are there. My father and Susan left for their meeting. Thomas is staying here with us.”
