Mina stared at me for a moment until she let out a breath. “Fine,” she said as she stood back and leaned against the wall.
“Luna Susan approached me,” she said. “She wanted me to follow her niece. She wanted to know what she was doing and who she was with.”
I growled.
“If you ask me, the Luna doesn’t trust her niece very well,” she mocked as she moved her head to the side.
“Did you tell her what you heard—” I said, but she burst out laughing as she shook her head at me. “No, I didn’t. I saw her this morning to tell her, but I didn’t go. I wanted to see if I could try to change your mind about the little bitch.”
