Kase

Brianna had backed up quickly from the man and looked him over confused. He sat on a drum she hadn’t been using but had still cleaned. Her body wanted to run, but her mind kept telling her it wasn’t a good idea. Especially with Tamia in the next room. “No need to worry cherie. I’m not here to hurt you or the ti bebe,” He purred seeing her so tense. Brianna looked at the large African- American man in front of her, he was shirtless and ripped. Chains thrown hazard over the scarred skin making him look appetizing. In ratty jeans that looked custom designed to be ratty, his shoes that were heavy looking leather boots shined like they’d been polished professionally. Wearing a black top hat like Abraham over his dreads, the white skulls decorating them made her nervous. “You broke in here; you need to leave.” Smiling, the white teeth seemed too white against the dark chocolate skin. “You did too, and yet here you are making yourself at home. In this miniscule place,” He hissed his unnatural red eyes observing their surroundings before they snapped back to her face, “You’re a powerful queen, you deserve a castle.” And then to Brianna’s alarm the room shifted to a fancy room filled with money, food, and drugs. “You deserve to have everything you want.” The stranger tried to seduce. But Brianna closed her eyes, “I don’t want none of this s**t! And whatever you’re pitching, I’m not interested!” And when she opened her eyes, the room was back to the normal and the red eyed man was shocked. Confused, Brianna looked at the white aura pouring from her chest and whispered scared, “What the f**k?” The aura died immediately, and the man stood, “You’re coming into your power still young mambo. But once you do, you’ll be untouchable.” Coming closer, he offered, “I can speed it up for you. Give you the access to the knowledge deprived from you by your kin.” Brianna backed away as she observed the eerie man and his presence, “Who the f**k are you!?” Smiling widely, the man did a bow as he tipped his hat, “I thought you’d never ask.” He teased. “You can call me Kase.” Confused as his red eyes met hers again, she watched him put the hat back on his head, “You may know my dad more familiarly, he’s known as Papa Legba?” Jaw dropping, Brianna shook her head as the name rang through her, “You’re lying, he’s a God.” Kase didn’t protest that. Brianna thought he was either insulting her intelligence or toying with her. Which had her grip on her tazer tightening as she thought of the weakest spots to hit him. “And what does that make you?” She questioned observing him. Kase shrugged as he playfully questioned back, “What do you think it makes me?” Gripping her tazer even tighter thinking about how she wanted to aim it at his nuts, Kase snapped his fingers. “Please don’t,” He said chuckling a little, “I don’t need a jump off to get it up.” Brianna’s chin went up at his crudeness, “Then how about you and whatever the f**k you’re on, get the hell out.” Kase smirked as he abnormally walked around the room. “You think I’m lying to you?” Rolling her eyes, Brianna shrugged, “Wouldn’t be the first time a man has.” Kase seemed to realize her issue and lifted a stick from a drum kit. And smiled endearingly as he shoved it into his stomach causing blood to gush. Brianna looked away horrified and he waited until her gaze slowly came back. “I am not a man.” His deep voice assured her. And she had to watch as his healing skin pushed the stick out slowly. And when it clattered to the ground, she saw nothing was there. Brianna’s hand instinctively reached under her tank top and touched her waist where her scar was. She’d healed herself too…but what did that mean? Was she like him? Kase was suddenly in front of her, his rough hand reaching out gently. And then his rough fingers touched the skin and Brianna flinched back, but he held her close. Stroking the healed skin Kase’s frown became severe as he growled, “Someone has hurt you, tell me who and I’ll kill them if you wish.”  Brianna shook her head knowing he meant it, and she couldn’t let him do that, “I don’t wish anything of you. I want you to leave.” Kase touched Brianna red hair thoughtfully ignoring her words. He liked the fiery nature of her hair it reminded him of her. But it wasn’t her color. Touching it, he watched the color bleed from her hair as it bounced with life and it’s natural color. Smiling he watched Brianna check her reflection in his eyes shocked. “I told you, I’m here to help you.” Swallowing hard, Brianna whispered hard, “How?” Grabbing her hand, Kase admitted, “Your grandmama is a stubborn woman. I couldn’t tell her no, so she asked me for a favor.” Trembling as his warm hand in hers seemed to grow hotter, Brianna asked desperately, “My grand-mère? You know grand-mère?” Shrugging, Kase taunted, “Know, knew, have known, either of those would work.” Feeling her hand was now on fire, Brianna tried to pull it from his grip. But Kase stared her in the eyes hypnotizing her and she stopped as he purred, “You need to find your power Brianna. Your grand-mère’s things are the key to unlocking you.” Lips moving on their own, Brianna whispered afraid, “Is this a dream?” A sexy devilish need came over the God’s face. He grabbed her and pulled her close so she could feel every inch of him. And then Kase was kissing her, his mouth hot and his taste spicy. Brianna couldn’t breath as he touched her, her body seemed to burn and freeze at the same time. And it was painful, but a part of her liked it as she buzzed from the touch. Pulling away slowly, Kase smirked devilishly as he whispered, “Did that feel like a dream little mambo?” Brianna was sure it was but then Kase left her and her body fell to her bed feeling numb. Feeling like she’d been drugged, Brianna rolled over sluggishly as Kase’s figure began to blur. He peered down at her curiously as he whispered, “See you soon Brianna Deveraux.” And then he was gone as Brianna’s hand burned with a sigil on her palm.
