Once Eddie had changed, they headed down the elevator but got caught on the fourth floor. The doors opened, and they were surprised and excited to see Harper and Hailey.
“Hey!” Hailey squealed and wrapped Kalea in a bear hug.
“Gah, Hails, Kalea can’t breathe,” Kalea croaked as she tapped Hailey’s back.
“Oops, my bad,” Hailey smiled.
“Alpha, welcome back. I heard you returned today,” Harper said as he gave Eddie a fist bump.
“Thanks. Where you guys off to?” Eddie asked.
“We’re both off, and we both got our first paychecks today. So, we’re going to head to town and burn through it,” Hailey said.
