“Wha—What do you mean Amelia died?” Aimee asked.
“I don’t know all of the details, as I wasn’t even born yet, but from what I was told,
she was killed trying to protect Cyrus, ironically.” Everyone furrowed their brows at the irony. “At the time, Cyrus was a trusted friend, so when he was being ambushed, she came to his rescue, but in doing so, she was killed in the process.”
“Is her death what triggered Horatio’s power?” Renee asked.
“No, but it was what kickstarted the series of events that led to that. You see, Horatio fell in love with Amelia from the moment he met her. She was young, beautiful, and impressionable, and Horatio was on the verge of being crowned King. But, right after his coronation, he shifted for the first time in front of Amelia, no less.
