MIRANDA’S POV
I found myself opening up to William and the fact that he was so easy to talk to and such a great listener made it even easier to talk to him. William was the opposite of Tomas, in fact, he was everything that my mother told me a mate was supposed to be and yet he wasn't my mate. I found myself wishing Tomas had broken the mate bond that we shared so that I could be with William.
No matter how much I liked William being with him and being fully committed to him was close to impossible because I was still mated to Tomas and it seemed to me that Tomas wanted me back at all costs.
“Thank you so much for tonight,” I said as William drove me home
“Don’t thank me, it wasn’t a favor to you, I did it for myself” he said
