“Miranda honey where have you been, I was beginning to get worried about you,” Ms. Caroline asked as I entered through the back door
“Oh I am sorry, I was out swimming in the lake the water was so nice. I also sat and watched the sunset it was so beautiful I must have lost track of time” I said
“Oh I see but you must be careful the water tends to get a little too cold in the evenings and I don’t want you catching a cold,” she said and I nodded, I was touched by her concern. She reminded me a lot of my mother.
“What’s for dinner?” I asked changing the subject and looking over at the pots she was busy with
“I made some beef stew, I thought it would be nice to have with some rice,” she said
