MIRANDA’S POV
I couldn’t scream because I was afraid that the whole town would wake up and Tomas would turn and get his morons to join Him while he tore the whole town apart. Tomas had been making a lot of threats about killing everyone here if I kept refusing to give in to his absurd requests. I watched as the lights faded as we got deeper into the forest and I couldn’t shake the fear, but I knew that I had to be brave and put on my strong face. I could never give Tomas the satisfaction of seeing me squirm and tremble before him and I wanted him to see that he no longer had any power over me.
“What do you want?” I asked him after he threw me to the ground
