I grabbed my phone from the nightstand and answered it, not even looking at the screen. “Yeah?”
“Shipment’s in,” Tomas said right away. “No issues. Everything went smooth.”
Relief hit me, but I didn’t let it show. Not with Alina watching me like a damn hawk. “Good,” I said, keeping my voice calm.
“Your guys on that side handled it just like you said. No heat.” Tomas said.
I nodded slowly. “Alright. Stay put. I’ll let you know what’s next.”
“You sure? Bruno’s waiting on confirmation.”
“I’ll call him,” I said.
“Better do it fast Mr. Blackwood. The clock’s ticking.”

I hung up and tossed the phone onto the bed like it didn’t mean anything. My mind was already moving. Bruno said once the shipment landed safely, he’d wire the billion across all our accounts.
