I turn around to find Su is running toward me. Ty is walking behind her, holding two insulated ice boxes: one is red and another is blue. “Hi, Su.” I raise my hand and greet her, to which she returns the gesture. When she arrives and stops next to where I am sitting, I say, “You are late.”
“I-I k-know,” says Su, breathing each word out with difficulties. “S-sorry.” She drops on the picnic blanket and sits crossed-leg next to me. After taking a few deep breath, she says in a steadier voice, “It is his fault.” She points to Ty, who is now sitting next to Bong Seth.
