The day of the competition dawned bright and fair, Lacey excited to see how her song would fare amongst the music class. She'd poured her heart and soul into this song, endless corrections and constantly doubting herself. Today she would find out whether her song was good or if it would be a complete and utter failure. No pressure right? The music room was abuzz as students whispered amongst themselves, completely ignoring Lacey who sat at her desk nervously, trying in vain to ignore the phrase dirty wh*** someone had gauged into her desk.
