*Jade POV*
I rushed to my room and quickly got ready. I grabbed my satchel with my books and laptop, then quickly grabbed my makeup bag. I was out the door within eight minutes. I left a note in my bed just in case, so no one would wonder where I was or my cousins. I cautiously looked around, hoping I wouldn't get caught by my family.
I knew I would be in deep shît if I got caught. I felt bad for leaving Caine and Bryson, but Kyle said they were resting, and I didn't want to bother them. I was a little surprised that Caine was napping in Bryson's room, though.
I knew they weren't attracted to one another, but they were very close. They grew up together, but still, I didn't understand why he would nap there. He had his own room, and Bryson was doing much better. Wasn't he?
Did he lie to me about his feelings?
I shook that thought away and rushed into the garage. I spotted Kyle standing next to one of my dad's SUVs, checking his watch and waiting patiently. I rushed over. "I'm sorry it took so long." I squeaked out as I looked at my watch, "One minute to spare, not bad. Right?"
He just chuckled and opened the door for me. "You're right on time, Miss Jade. Are your cousins still coming?"
I bit my bottom lip and looked at my watch, then looked over my shoulder at the garage door. "Can we give them like three minutes? If they don't show, then you can go."
He nods his head, and I hop inside and wait. Within a minute, my cousins are rushing to the SUV. "Who's this sêxy beast?" Jenna inhales sharply as she opens the door and stares openly at Kyle.
"Jenna!" I gasped with embarrassment as my face flushed bright red. Declan just chuckled with amusement. "Are you seriously that surprised? This is my sister we are talking about here, Jade."
"True, but still, Jesus." I shake my head with amusement. I chance a glance at Kyle to see if he is anywhere near as embarrassed as me, but inhale sharply when I realize he is staring at me with an intense and raw look. I gulp inwardly and look away.
Does Kyle want me?
The lust I saw in his eyes is quite disturbing. I try to ignore him, but I can feel the heat of his stare. Jenna and Declan seem oblivious to my uneasiness because they are bickering back and forth like they always do.
When we get to school, Kyle pulls over and gets out. He comes around to our side and opens the door. Jenna and Declan rush to get out and dash to their classes.
Oncr I get my things I get out and rush to get out, but Kyle cages me in with his hands by my head. He leans forward as he runs his finger down my face and whispers, "I'll be here waiting for you."
Chills run throughout my whole body and rise on my skin as I try to push him away. "K-Kyle, please, I... I..."
"It's because of them, isn't it?" He sneered venomously, "You're too blind to see someone deserving of you." My eyes shoot up defensively. "You have no right to speak like that about them. You don't know them like I do." I snapped impatiently.
"I know a lot more than you think," Kyle growls angrily and turns around, then stomps back to his side of the SUV. He flings his door open and hops in slamming the door behind him.
I blinked my eyes several times and then decided it was best for me to head to my classes. This didn't feel right. I felt completely out of my element at the moment. Plus, anger filled my veins. How could my cousins leave me in a situation like that? They could have waited a few minutes for me.
I hear a loud bell ring in the distance and curse under my breath as I rush to my class.

*Kyle POV*
I gritted my teeth as I watched Jade rush to her class. What she saw in Bryson and Caine was beyond me. She deserved better than them. She belonged with me. I have kept my distance for a long time.
I have worked with her family for several years and kept to the shadows. She was perfection, and I wanted her to be mine since the first time I set my eyes on her.
I was frustrated when she told me that her cousins were going to come along. I wanted her to myself. I wanted to finally tell her how I felt. Once they left, I pulled out my cards and showed her my hand.
She didn't feel the same as I felt, but she would in time. I wanted her, and I was going to have her, no matter what. Her father may be the Mafia King, but that was not going to stop me.
Jade will be mine.

*Bryson POV*
I groaned softly and rubbed my eyes. I got up and looked over at my side. My eyebrows lifted in shock. Why was Caine still here, and where in fûck was Jade?
I shot up and felt urge to vomit. My head was pounding, and my vision was blurry. What the fûck happened to me?
The last thing I remembered was falling asleep with Jade in my arms and Caine laying behind her.
"Caine? Wake the fûck up,man," I growled as I shook him roughly. He groaned painfully and rubbed the back of his neck. "WHAT THE FÛCK HAPPENED?" He yelled out. Then he shook his head, and I watched as his mind seemed to click and remember something.
His eyes widened with anger, and he clenched his fists tightly. "Where the fûck is that guard. I swear to God, I am going to fûcking kill him. He jabbed me with something, and then everything went black," He looked around and then snapped his eyes back at me. "Where is our princess?"
"I don't know. That's why I woke your âss up. I figured you would know." I said with frustration.
"The only thing I know is that she got home this morning with her parents because one of her dad's was being poisoned by that dâmned doctor. He tried to take her, but the guard who drugged me saved her. She asked him to watch over us until she got back. Then, when I tried to go see Jade, that fûcking guard took me out. Do you think he is working for your father?" Caine said dangerously low.
"I don't know. I haven't seen this guard. I just woke up myself," I said as the thought hit me suddenly, "Do you think he drugged me too?"
"I don't know. Let's go check on our princess. I have a bad feeling about this guy." Caine said, gritting his teeth.
We got up and opened the door to my bedroom. There were guards standing by the door. "MOVE." I snapped impatiently. "We can't do that. Kyle told us that you were to stay in your room." One of the guards said firmly.
"What bullshît is this?" Anders said sternly as he walked down the hall toward us, "I never gave any such order. These two were given free roam of my house. Who gave this order?"
"Kyle... sir." The guard gulped loudly. Anders narrowed his eyes at the guard, and before anyone knew what was happening, Anders punched the guard right in the face.
