“This is going to drive him batshit crazy, Anna..” I said, dropping a soft kiss on Charlie’s cheek who was sleeping soundly in my arms. We were returning home from the orphanage and before this day, I didn’t know that adopting a child could be such a piece of cake. I only had to sign a few documents and then Charlie was all mine to take home. I guess, perks of being a multi-billionaire’s wife.
Why didn’t I just do this before?
“Yeah, it would..” Anna said ruffling Charlie’s hair.
“I think we should have waited till Jinn’s memory came back or at least talked to him before we jumped into this.” I rambled on like I had been doing since this morning.
“He is barely himself right now, Lia. He doesn’t even remember that he himself signed the adoption papers last week..”
