36. Through the fire

  Egan   I took a lungful of air and a torch of fire left my lips after Cyrus led my legs towards the Red Warriors. Raw, insane rage was empowering me and I could feel that I was even more lethal than during the war.  Cyrus wouldn’t lose them and neither could I!   I knew that as soon as the powerful blast of fire left my mouth, my body heat would grow tenfold and the invisibility bracelet would melt around my wrist, losing all its magic properties, revealing me to the world.   I could see the terror in the warriors’ eyes the split second before the flames reached them. My irises should be bright golden now. I was half myself, half Cyrus, but filled hundred percent with the urge to save Alma and my baby.  Screams, winces of pain, and the smell of burned flesh filled the air, flames
