        Alma   Once again I could feel the hard surface under me and tried to open my heavy eyelids. This time I succeeded, even though it was very strenuous. They must have given me something strong, to knock me out so badly, I only hoped it wouldn’t be dangerous for my baby.  I opened my eyes slowly and blinked at the blinding light before I turned my head with difficulty to peek at the man sitting next to me. He was sleeping, snoring even.  I sighed quietly and fisted my hands, trying to access, to call for the fire I used before. My strange fire.  It didn’t work, I felt nothing besides my nails digging into my skin.
