Chapter 65

1977 Words
Akira and Sonata both were very sure that there was nothing that they could do which would make Snow listen to them at all because she was an adamant one. It was difficult to come to terms with the fact that she would put herself in danger in order to save them and the entire school which had never accepted her in the very first place. “This is not fair Sonata. Why is she the one who always gets to do the toughest bits?” asked Akira as she felt a lump coming up her throat. “I know Akira but what can we do. There are some people in this world who are mean too be more than others. That is what sets them apart from us, the ordinary ones. Although we are far from ordinary but we will never be like her. She is too much impulsive to be a rational thinker but Akira, really we don’t have the time to waste. I know these things. I mean I know a few where I can get them and then I would have to go for a hunt for all these nonsense of spider’s legs and dog’s tooth. Why is always so disgusting and creepy with the witches?” asked Sonata as she checked out the list with a grimace. Akira nodded at her and then said after a moment,” You know, they also think that we are creepy and disgusting, like climbing the walls of the manor and also doing stuff like Dracula did in Bram Stoker novel and the movie renditions are far worse. They would be probably saying that we are the ones who suck and drink blood from living humans and animals and that is how we live. It is not something to discriminate against. So don’t be a racist!!” “Gee thanks for the encouragement dear…that was exactly what I needed to hear before collecting all these nonsense,” said Sonata in a huff as she moved inside the door which Raphael had showed them when Snow was unconscious in order to pillage the stock that the witch carried along with her. Cobra venom, tail of rattle snake, monkey's finger nails, powdered Falcon talons, dried poison ivy, tip of a parrot's beak, mouse skeleton, rat's feet, chicken toes, elephant's earwax, human dandruff, a vampire's bogies, blood of a giant, witch's wart, skunk cabbage slivers, a tick of a clock, a lucky rabbit's foot, four leaf clover, dog vomit, cat sick, spray from a skunk, stripes from a tiger, the mane of a lion, zombie zest, pickled porcupine quills were the rest of the stuff that she needed to collect. Sonata felt that she would probably lose her bearings if there was not a great peril near them.     Akira looked at the images and then looked on the desk of the dead witch. She needed to create a separate chalk for this entire purpose and then she needed a powder as well for painting the same on the gates but would it not be the same if she made the marking with the chalk? Probably it would be. There was ink on the table in a pail which was of a weird colour and there was a stash of chalks on the top of the cupboard. Akira started making the chalks hoping that they would dry up as soon as possible for she had a lot of ground to cover.   Snow reached the morgue and opened the door. Raphael had left the door open for her. She smiled at the thought but then he still had not trusted her enough to give her all the passwords so that she could access them at their own time. But then again everything could not be expected to be handed down to her like that. The body was covered with the shroud of a muslin and it was smelling a bit rancor in there. But since it was frozen in there it was a bit under control. She closed her eyes after locking the door and then started focusing on the rage that she felt from Rebecca when she had possessed her body. But the possession was not only of her body, it had shaken her to the very core of her soul as if the spirit of Rebecca who was still lingering in this room knew what she was going to do. “I know you are here Rebecca. I know that you want to come to this body that has been taken away from you. But you know as well as I that it is not possible anymore,” said Snow as she opened her eyes which were dark as coal and her hair was a halo of midnight. “You know nothing girlie. But I must give you this you are lot more powerful than they give you credit for,” said Rebecca’s voice from behind her. Snow knew that she was only trying to spook her and she was ready not to be scared in any way. “Well since you know that and you have already possessed my body twice that means that you understand the extent of my strength. Don’t you? So should we do this the easier way or the tough way?” asked Snow as the lights in the morgue started flickering and she rolled her eyes. “Tough way then,” said Snow as she took out a vial of eucalyptus oil from her pocket and then poured it around the corpse of the witch. Rebecca was now in her corporeal form so she had no other sense except that of sight. Rebecca made everything in the morgue rattle with such a force that someone would think that it was a poltergeist but Snow just smiled. “You know there is actually no point in behaving this recklessly. You knew very well that your life is at its fag end and then again you are going to die. You also knew that your powers were not going to leave the premises of the Bloody Academy then why now being scared?” asked Snow as she finished pouring the oil around her entire body. It had this beautiful smell which Snow liked but Rebecca was thinking that she was going to burn her body and then get them charred so that no power would be left from it at all. “WHY ARE YOU BURNING MY BODY? THEY NEED TO GO BACK TO THE EARTH OR I AM GOING TO BE DOOMED TO STAY IN THIS STATE FOREVER!!!!!” screamed out Rebecca as Snow smiled at her even wider. This smile did not bring any confidence to the already scared spirit. “It will be done and dusted alright, after I am done what I need to do with it,” said Snow as she closed her eyes again and concentrated a certain amount of rage on her hands and no sooner than a moment later a ball of fire appeared on her palm. It was not the usual fire colour, it had a bluish hue which meant that it was cold hell fire drawn from the darkest pit of hell. “How are you being to able to access this hell-fire? No one, not even the Great Witch Has been able to do that…who are you?” shrieked the spirit as Snow smiled at her again. This time it was an evil grin with her fangs bared. “You have all the time in the world now sorceress, just wait and watch. The juicy bits are coming up soon,” said Snow as she placed the ball of fire on the metal table causing Rebecca to shriek out violently a the sight that was unfolding in front of her. But Snow did not even care. In moments the eucalyptus oil caught fire and the entire body of the witch was encircled inside a ring of fire. “Fire from the darkest depths hell Reach into the corners and nooks of her mortal abode Show me the secrets that she has hidden Along with the powers that she has ridden Time is ours and we are of time Seconds are the only things that keep her in mime From earth she has risen To earth she will be back But before that Let her powers hit me with a smack,” recited Snow as Rebecca’s spirit looked at her in shock. “These are not in any books and I don’t even think that a spell like this even exists, then how did you learn all these things? What are you at all? You blood sucking freak?” asked Rebecca as she spat out the words but Snow was too caught up in the spell to even answer to her jibes. The hell fire which even Snow did not where it came from read her message and her command clearly and it started swelling up all over her body, the corpse of Rebecca was still inside the circle of fire but the shroud had burnt and now the body was raised in the air and the fire was reaching the parts of her body as if seeking something and just then Rebecca started feeling the burning in her corporeal form. She started screaming in pain but Snow was not even bothered. She knew that she had to get that magic out of the bones of the dead witch inside her or everything would be lost. She was not going to let the demons invade this School under any circumstances. The fire burnt through the flesh of the corpse, what was left of it and then reached her bones making Snow aware that it was time for a major magical blast. She did not know where from did she learn the spells and how did she even know what words to speak or rhyme them in such a weird manner but there was something which she felt inside. She knew that it was her instinct which was making her so good at doing things which the normal witches could not even think about doing. She did not stop to think about the consequences when she placed her palms flat on the wall of fire that had risen up and now was fast changing its colour to a sickly pale green like those of the Harry Potter movies. As soon as Snow did that, she felt a psychic blow to the middle of her body and then she could not break the contact or all was lost. She kept on touching the fire as there were multiple blows on all the parts of her body and when the fire finally died down she felt a buzz all over her body as if there was a completely new layer covering her entire skin like an exoskeleton. And Rebecca was nowhere to be found. Snow did not even know how she looked when she pulled out the phone and found that it was absolutely broken and beyond repair. As if there had been a blast inside the phone. “Great!!! Now I have no way of communicating as well,” she muttered as she reached the attic where they all were supposed to meet when they were done. But what she did not expect was to not being recognized by her friends who would be shrieking at the very sight of her and then she tried to calm them down by making it clear to them that it was Snow, herself and no one else. “Wow!! That witch really did quite a number on both of you,” said Snow as both the girls rolled their eyes.
