“So how long has this been going on?” asked Rhea as she looked at her mate who had still kept his eyes closed. Seeing your mate in her wolf form was something but then seeing her in her human form and that too without a stitch of clothing in order to cover her skin was making him feel things which he had never thought would feel before. He was taking deep breaths inhaling Rhea’s scent while she sighed out loud and then said,” If you think that you can go away without answering the question Charlie then you are sincerely wrong.”

“I am not going anywhere without having this conversation. I am going to reply to every question that you ask but that does not mean that when I am in the presence of my mate and Luna I am not going to be able to talk to her without dealing with pack business first,” said Charlie and Rhea knew that it was probably fair that he was saying that.

“Do you think this guy is going to die for what he did?” asked Rhea as she looked at Meron, unconscious once more.

“I sincerely doubt that fact that he is going to die. After all he is a Druid, is he not? I mean, they have healing and restorative powers of the trees themselves but you are supposed to know it better than me since you yourself are one,” said Charlie and Rhea nodded at him feeling that he was not lying to her.

“So now back to the question that I have been asking you and waiting for you to answer since I got here. When from have you known that I am your mate and you told this to my brother?” asked Rhea as she glared at Charlie.

Charlie looked at her and smiled unapologetically and said,” As the Beta of the Blood Moon Pack sweetheart my first and foremost allegiance always lies with the Alpha and that is my duty and I can never go against that. It is something which runs in my veins. But I knew you were my mate and you did not. I did not consider it to be prudent to let you know this before you came to know it yourself. Since I already knew that what you meant to me I just wanted to make sure that Lukas also shared my concerns and did not have any problems with me being your mate whatsoever.”

“Why would my brother have problems to me being your mate?” asked Rhea, and this time she was completely stumped.

“I am not sure how the pack politics work Rhea, but there are a lot of things that a mate has to take into consideration when it comes to the Bonding of his own sister. You are not any ordinary wolf, and you are not a pure wolf either. With a woman like you by anyone’s side the Alpha of any pack is supposed to consider himself the luckiest of all. Most of the times when pups do not find their mates young, and they do not know whom to choose, a mixing party is done amongst all the werewolf packs of the world. We all thought that you were also going to find something or someone from there itself and preferably the Alpha since you have royal blood but the Moon Goddess works in mysterious ways,” said Charlie and Rhea nodded in understanding. That was what she felt was so great about Charlie. He always told her the truth without hiding anything at all no matter how hard it would be for him.

“Truly the Moon Goddess works in mysterious way Charlie. I had never considered myself to be someone who would be concerned with the welfare of my mate or my pack and anything else but now that is all that I can think of even though when I am sure that you are probably wanting to know the reason of what I have done with him,” said Rhea as she gestured at the Druid who was coming back in his senses now.

“Even though I am pretty certain that he is going to be out of it and loopy and you might call me a caveman for saying this but I do not like the idea of any other boy or man seeing you naked except me,” said Charlie and Rhea broke into a series of giggles.

“No, you are not a caveman…definitely not until now. But I like it that you are possessive about me. And I just want to say one thing to you Charlie, rather promise one thing, whatever might happen we are never going to ever keep things hidden from each other. Not in any case. Whatever it might be I am expecting that you are going to tell me and I am going to tell you no matter what. Can we promise that to each other?” asked Rhea as he kissed softly on his lips making him groan at the sensation. Her naked body was in his lap and now she was kissing him as well. This was all too much to bear but he knew that he had to maintain his control. After all he had promised his Alpha that he was going to keep Rhea safe no matter what, even it did mean from himself.

“You have my word Rhea. No matter what happens we are always going to tell each other everything without hiding and making them our secrets,” said Charlie as Rhea sighed in relief. It almost felt like she had expected the same thing from her brother but now that she knew that something was amiss and he was not going to be able to tell her everything no matter what.

“He wanted to hurt me badly Charlie. He wanted to scare me off into not coming back to the Academy of Druids again. Even when I was on my first day and I had to go through no test at all he made me pass a test. This guy has made my life a living hell from the very beginning of the day and today after I was returning back to the pack home this guy followed me. In the forest, can you imagine? He followed a lone wolf in the forest in the hopes that he would scare me so much that I was never going to return to the Academy any longer. I don’t know what is funnier, this entire scenario or the thing that he thought he could scare a wolf in a forest,” said Rhea as Charlie growled low in his throat.

“I want to tear him off limb from limb just because he has even thought of doing you harm,” he said in a low voice. And just the threat in his voice made Rhea feel that her entire body was covered in goose bumps.

“So what are we going to do with him?” asked Rhea, as she looked at Meron, who was groaning feverishly and Charlie growled out even louder.

“We are going to have to take him back to the pack. You are not any usual wolf who would be bound for doing any crimes and if something was perpetuated against you and in this case we can prove that you did what you did only in self-defense. So until that happens he comes with us in the wolf territory and stays there,” said Charlie as Rhea found that to be logical but then a sudden fear gripped her heart.

“But the Druids are going to take this to be an act of war against them Charlie. We cannot just take him, can we?” asked Rhea, as Charlie looked at her and grinned.

“Who is going to say that we attacked him honey?” asked Charlie and Rhea could not understand what he meant but then Charlie stood up lifting her up along with him and she slid down from his body.

“Change your form and lead the way. I am going to carry his ass over to the pack Healing house and let the Healers see what they can do with you. Moreover your brother would also like to know the entire thing that has gone down. I might be easy to please Rhea but when it comes to Alpha Lukas, and that too you, he becomes savage. So it is up to you how you are going to play this game,” said Charlie and Rhea nodded. She figured that it was for the best that she said everything truly to Lukas because later on she did not want to get into further more problem. So that he could handle the politics part himself.

Rhea did not wait to change into the wolf form and then started trotting slowly as Charlie lifted Meron on his shoulders and was wearing only a jeans which was hanging low on his hips and even in her wolf form Rhea could fast feel herself drooling just looking at him. Charlie looked at her and then chuckled. They both knew that she was too young for mating or to be even mated and they would need to wait until she was eighteen years old.

Finally they reached the pack territory after some time and found Lukas pacing up and down with Aurora babe in his arms. Rhea looked at her brother and fast went inside in her wolf form to change into clothing and Charlie slowly dropped off Meron on the porch. He was still groaning out loud and now he was almost feverish.

“Who is this i***t?” asked Lukas as he knelt beside him and inspected the wounded boy.

“That is not for me to say. I think Rhea is the best person to answer that question,” said Charlie as Rhea came out wearing a t-shirt and a skirt and looked at Lukas and gulped down.

“What is it Rhea? Tell me…” he said softly. Lukas knew that it was going to be of no use scolding her because just like him she was also undergoing a lot of changes and all he could do was to support her in the decisions she made and make sure that she did not get hurt.

“This is the one whose ass I kicked. He wanted to make sure that I was so scared that I did not return back to the Academy any longer. I mean, he was stupid and was being even stupider all day but then I could not control my rage any longer. I could not help it and I did this, I mean, I am the one who injured him. So if you want me to do anything as punishment then I am ready for that,” said Rhea in a somber voice.

“There is going to be no punishment. We are going to inform the Druids that we have found an injured Druid in the forest and we brought back to take care of him since he was in critical situation. He must have been mauled by any wild animal. Not very far from truth, but all that matters is the presentation sweetheart,’ chuckled Lukas as Rhea giggled at her brother. She could not have asked for a better brother for herself.

Lukas continued,” Moreover if he opens his mouth and tells that you attacked him we just show his memories of the entire day. That can be done, you know? It takes some effort but our Healers have a drug which is going to be able to do that. So you are always on the safe side. If it was really under my control then I would have broken his spine so bad that he would never be able to stand up straight again.”

His eyes were blazing when he spoke the words.
