The following day was the Leap rugby league tournament. The Leap stadium was packed with tense, excited fans in Brawn’s and Stalwart colours. Some had insulting boards directed at their rivals while others waved colourful flags with slogans for their favourite team.
Lamar was for the first time in months feeling like himself again. His teammates could not stop teasing him about how a good luck wish from a girl rocked his whole world. Lamar had no idea just how influential his mood was on the whole team, because soon they were all in this euphoric mood. Just before kickoff, the whole Brawny’s team ran into the field, driving fans wild. Shirtless, sweaty, with bodies to kill, they stood in a formation to perform their new signature war cry for their excitable fans.
