Dalton’s explanation is even worse than anything I imagined. His wolf wants to give Bree as a human sacrifice to a demon.
That demon is essentially controlling the entire group of people who run the kingdom.
And Dalton’s asking us to kill him once he’s accepted Bree’s rejection.
Bree recoils as Dalton makes that request and I have an almost overwhelming urge to put my arms around her and comfort her. She’s a woman of natural compassion and empathy, so of course the idea horrifies her. She’s led a sheltered life, not through any fault of her own, so she hasn’t made the choices I’ve had to make or done the things I’ve done.
