Our mating ceremony is a small, private affair. Neither Drew nor I care about public displays or adulation. We invite only the people closest to us: the king and queen, Salazar and Naya, who has become a close friend of mine already in the short time we’ve known each other, and some of Drew’s colleagues and friends.
Drew asks if I want to invite my family, but I don’t.
