I can’t stop smiling on the way to the airport. After everything Bree and I have been through over the last few days, it seems almost impossible that we’re actually here, safe and sound and ready to move forward together. And yet, she’s beside me in the car, her body fitting perfectly next to mine, her eyes full of love and anticipation every time she looks up at me. If we were alone, I wouldn’t be able to resist showing her exactly how I feel, but the king and queen and Salazar and Alfric are also in the limo with us, so we’ll need to wait just a little bit longer.
