Two more men are waiting in the van to take us to the house Salazar has arranged. They must be more members of the royal security team as Drew greets them both by name. He seems relieved that Quinn has brought some protection with her, and as we drive to the house, Drew fills me in on what he knows about Alfric. I don’t completely follow all the details but I get the gist of it: he’s a wizard and he’s got a history of only involving himself in werewolf affairs when there’s something in it for him.
“What’s in it for him now?” I ask Drew quietly, and he shrugs.
“I’m not sure. Hopefully we’ll find out more when they tell us the whole plan.”
