I don’t like the way that Alfric looks at Bree when he says we’re involved in the next part of his plan, whatever it might be. He still hasn’t said anything very specific at all about what he’s planning, but I can guess it has something to do with this meeting with the demon tomorrow, and while I’m willing to take some risks and make sacrifices if necessary, Bree shouldn’t have to. She’s been through enough already.
“Bree stays here,” I state before he can go any further. “It’s too dangerous for her to go anywhere near the prince and especially the demon. We didn’t go through all that trouble to get out of the kingdom just for her to turn around and go back.”
“Your concern is… understandable,” Alfric says, in that same odd tone he used to describe Bree as ‘fascinating.’
