I was woken up in the hospital bed, surrounded by my guards and the doctor, along with a nurse who was observing me. I tried to sit down but winced in pain due to my headache. I placed my hand on the head and felt a bandage wrapped around it.
"How did I survive?" I ask Travis, who was by my side instantly.
"Carter saved you and reached on time before the men can kill you. He fought with them but was outnumbered at that time we reached and shot the men, and they all died." Travis replied.
"Why did Carter save me when he was the one who tried to kill me?" I ask, "and why is your face, bruised?"
"You can ask that question by Carter himself as he is waiting for you outside, and as for the second question, Carter and I fought." he replied, "you need to lay down and rest
