Jasper was honestly not having a good morning. He was done with suspension and first day back he was late, his hair still wet, and he was tired as s**t.
Pale, he walked into school with shades and a beanie over his wet hair. Sucking up coffee like his life depended on it, Jasper was of course less than happy to see Paige leaned against his locker looking at him expectantly.
Jasper groaned and stalked to her, “Good morning, can I help you with something?” Paige moved off his locker when he made a hard gesture to the right and let him get into his locker.
“Yeah, I was wondering why’d you go back there with Donny when it was over for you.” Jasper looked at her confused, “What do you mean?” Paige looked at Jasper as she mumbled, “Donny didn’t give a f**k about hurting you. He wanted to hurt me, and now I think he has the same kind of fascination with Alaia. He’s going to try to hurt her, and if she’s stupid like I was she’ll fall for the innocent doe look.”
Jasper stiffened, “Well I’m glad to know she’s not.” Closing his locker, Jasper c****d an eyebrow, “Anything else?” Paige looked up at Jasper hurt, her big brown eyes filling with tears, her freckles making her look so innocent.
“Are you ever going to stop hating me?” Jasper looked at Paige and shook his head, slowly walking away without a glance back. Paige let him go and felt like she’d been sucker punched in the gut. But she deserved it.
She’d caused it. All of it.
So she had to bare her punishment and watch Jasper walk to Alaia and kiss her. It was a harsh and swift pain. But it hurt nonetheless, and she knew it was yet again, all her faut.
It always was.
