Questioning Your Ex's New Mating? Awkward

904 Words
William and Arden had arrived at her cabin late in the night. As the snow began to melt as February rolled in, William smiled as Arden led him by the hand. “How do you feel?” William hummed, “Fine-ish?” Arden looked over at him and smiled, “Fine-ish?” She repeated. William shook his head as he looked around the beautiful cabin. High vaulted ceilings, large bay windows, and all modern features mixed with rustic designs. With it’s light and airy design it was really relaxing. But William felt too kid up to let even it calm him down. William sighed as he explained, “I just feel out of it. Like this is all still a crazy ass dream.” Arden walked to him and grabbed his hand, “As long as it’s not a nightmare.” William shook his head, “No, my nightmare was thinking I was going to lose you.” Arden smiled and kissed William exciting his blood lust. In a matter of moments, he had her naked and in the bedroom with no intentions of letting her up for air. When they finally got hungry enough for actual food, Arden went to make a late breakfast when she heard a vehicle approaching. Inhaling, Arden smelt a she-wolf approaching and knew exactly who it was. As William came down the stairs shirtless, Arden was opening the door wearing nothing but his shirt. Yasmine c****d an eyebrow and met William’s surprised stare. “Yasmine?” Walking into the cabin uninvited, Yasmine looked at Arden. Turning away, Yasmine glanced at William concerned. He still looked the same, dark haired and handsome as he was when he was human. But now he seemed to have been perfected, the chiseled body of hard labor more pronounced and stronger. Standing with perfect posture, his grey eyes seemed even brighter. Uncomfortable in this ordeal, Yasmine breathed out her words in a rush, “I’ve been asked by my alpha to come and ask you is if this was what you wanted?” William looked at Yasmine confused, “What?” Yasmine licked her lips, “There was a treaty between your father and my alpha’s great grandfather. It protects him from changing you. But if you were changed against your will, there will be repercussions for the one who changed you.” Arden crossed her arms over her chest, “And how exactly did you even know about this?” Yasmine’s face scrunched up as she admitted, “A wolf who had concerns for Jasper’s wellbeing had been watching him from a far. She saw something happened and came to tell us.” William rubbed a hand down his face, “I’m fine with how this turned out Yasmine. You can tell your alpha, I’m okay with this.” Yasmine could tell William wasn’t lying. And it bothered her since he did seem completely fine with being this way. William offered her something to drink and Yasmine accepted just for the sake of getting a better understanding. She had to know what the f**k was happening, with him, and their son. Yasmine watched as his body moved with a masculine grace towards the kitchen, and it unnerved her. “And Jasper? How does he feel about this?” William grinned as he fixed them all a drink, “Jasper is in love with Alaia. I thought he would marry her after they graduated. But that was before I found out she was a vampire. After I found out, and the shock wore off, I knew it was a possibility.” Yasmine scoffed in disbelief at how casual he said it, “And you didn’t think to stop it?” William shook his head as he admitted, “No.” Yasmine’s eyes widened and William held up his hand before she could flip. “Because if it was what was going to make him truly happy, I couldn’t tell him no. And then I began to want it for myself when I found happiness with Arden.” As William handed both women a coffee, he held his own as he said, “We finally understood why you did what you did Yasmine.” Yasmine swallowed hard at William surprised as he admitted, “We found who were truly meant for and we chose to be with them. It was who were always going to become, it was always in our blood.” Yasmine looked William over as she sat the coffee mug down, “And this is what you want?” she asked him to be sure.  William looked over at Arden, “More than anything.” Yasmine knew that look, but she’d never seen it aimed at her from William. Only from Davon, and the twinge of jealousy she got was unfair.  A knee jerk reaction to the man who had spent the better part of almost a decade saying he’d never love anyone like her. Only to find someone who made him question why he even loved her in the first place. “Well let’s hope Jasper feels the same way,” she said turning to leave. William didn’t even ponder that, “Oh, he will.”
