Mariah was brought into the office immediately. And Principal Joyner wasted no time calling her into his office. And she was scared as hell as the two cops stood over his shoulder looked at her with scowling faces.
Reverend Tompkins looked at Mariah with his eyes set to neutralize as he rasped, “Do you know why you were called in Ms. Denver?” Mariah tried to play stupid and with false innocence asked, “Did something pan out with the case against Ms. Hawk?”
Principal Joyner, sick of Mariah’s act, sneered, “Drop the pretense Mariah, we know you fabricated the whole story.” Shaking her head in denial, Mariah looked as Reverend Tompkins told her harshly, “We spoke to a student, one who backed up your story. But then that sweet little girl told us the truth. And what you did.”
